Abstract

Co-modification of religion has been penetrating on commercial television in Indonesia for long time. The program produced by Indosiar “Mamah dan Aa Beraksi”, “Islam itu Indah” launched by Trans TV, a soap opera entitled “Tukang Bubur Naik Haji” played on RCTI, an Indian serial film entitled “Jodha Akbar” and imported Turkish Film “Abad Kejayaan” played on ANTV, and similar drama entitled “Cermin Kehidupan” played on Trans 7 are some examples of the programs. Based on the observation and writer’s thought, it was found that the preacher, contents of program, even the audiences includethe religion into the program and it was interrupted with capitalism. In the other hand, Religion should be avoided from this case.AbstrakKomodifikasi agama telah lama merambah di televisi komersial di Indonesia. Dari program “Mamah dan Aa Beraksi” Di Indosiar dan “Islam Itu Indah” di Trans TV hingga sinetron “Tukang Bubur Naik Haji” (TBNH) di RCTI, film seri India “Jodha Akbar” dan drama seri impor Turki “Abad Kejayaan” di ANTV dan acara serupa seperi sinetron “Cermin Kehidupan” di Trans 7. Melalui pengamatan sekilas dan studi pemikiran penulis didapati temuan bahwa dai, konten hingga audiens agama yang semestinya berada di luar area kontestasi.tak luput dari kepentingan kapital itu.

Abstract

Fenomena meningkatnya popularitas Korean Wave (Hallyu) di kalangan anak muda berpotensi memengaruhi perilaku beragama, khususnya di kalangan Muslim. Akun Instagram X-Traordinary Korean Wavers (@xkwavers) hadir sebagai medium dakwah yang mengintegrasikan kecintaan terhadap budaya Korea dengan nilai-nilai Islam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara intensitas akses akun @xkwavers dengan perilaku beragama penggemar Hallyu di Jakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada 100 responden, yaitu penggemar Korean Wave yang aktif mengikuti akun @xkwavers. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif dan signifikan antara intensitas akses akun @xkwavers dengan perilaku beragama penggemar Hallyu, dengan nilai korelasi sebesar 1 dan signifikansi 0,000. Artinya, semakin sering seseorang mengakses akun @xkwavers, semakin baik perilaku beragamanya. Penelitian ini berkontribusi dengan menunjukkan efektivitas media sosial sebagai platform dakwah yang menjembatani budaya populer dan nilai-nilai keagamaan. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan bagi pelaku dakwah untuk memanfaatkan budaya global sebagai strategi penyampaian pesan agama yang relevan, menarik, dan adaptif terhadap tren budaya kontemporer.   The increasing popularity of the Korean Wave (Hallyu) among young people has the potential to influence religious behavior, especially among Muslims. The X-Traordinary Korean Wavers Instagram account (@xkwavers) is a medium of da'wah that integrates the love of Korean culture with Islamic values. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the intensity of access to the @xkwavers account and the religious behavior of Hallyu fans in Jakarta. The research method used is quantitative with a survey approach through a questionnaire distributed to 100 respondents, namely Korean Wave fans who actively follow the @xkwavers account. The analysis was conducted using the Pearson Product Moment correlation test. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between the intensity of access to the @xkwavers account and the religious behavior of Hallyu fans, with a correlation value of 1 and a significance of 0.000. This means that the more often someone accesses the @xkwavers account, the better their religious behavior. This research contributes by demonstrating the effectiveness of social media as a da'wah platform that bridges popular culture and religious values. The findings provide insight for proselytizers to utilize global culture as a strategy for delivering religious messages that are relevant, engaging, and adaptive to contemporary cultural trends.
