Abstract

This paper addresses an Integrated Tertiary Educational Supply Chain Management Model (ITESCM) to achieve sustainability among private universities in Malaysia. The application model highlights the role of Supply chain management and sustainable practices in Private Universities (PU). The model provides an overview to equip stakeholders of the educational supply chain with appropriate information to review and appraise the performance of private universities. This is with a view towards the fulfillment of ultimate goals in achieving the potential as providers of educational supply chain services and maintaining sustainability. The paper first provides an overview of recent research conducted in this area, followed by a detailed discussion on research issues that have been developed in ITESCM. It also provides the taxonomy of research and development in the area of integrated SCM and sustainability practices in higher education, particularly in private universities in Malaysia. The concept of integration in tertiary education supply chain and sustainability among private university is also discussed.

Abstract

Human resource management (HRM) and supply chain management (SCM) play a growingly vital role in the organizational prosperity and economic development of countries that accelerate the importance of tracing the trajectory relating to this emerging field. However, till recently, limited number of research has examined the evolution of HRM-SCM research quantitatively. Aiming to provide an overall insight into the research in HRM-SCM field, this study utilized science mapping tools for analysing 469 articles from Scopus database explicitly related to HRM-SCM research. This bibliometric review aimed at documenting the size, geographic distribution of relevant literature, and growth trajectory, identifying key authors, journals, and documents, highlighting emerging topics, and analysing the intellectual structure of HRM-SCM knowledge base. Being the first bibliometric analysis on HRM-SCM research, this review is intended to provide a key reference for researchers entering this field, along with guidance regarding high value frameworks, and foci for further research.

Abstract

Abstract - Supply chain management (SCM) performance evaluation has gained noteworthy considerations from researchers and practitioners in the manufacturing paradigms for improving organizational effectiveness that can be applied to pronounce and review the historical performance, as well as to set performance targets for the future. Precise diagnosis and analysis of SCM evaluation are imperative to attain and enhance organizational productivity and profitability through focusing strategic, tactical and operational planning as well as control. Enterprises scrutinize the best fit to evaluate the existing approaches of performance evaluation framework including financial and operational. The researchers investigate a multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) approach to demonstrate how analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is applied to select the best performance evaluation framework and illustrates a decision model to structure the problem related to select the supply chain performance evaluation system in a hierarchical form with substitutes to the decision maker. The study also illustrates that there are nine methods where supply chain performance could be evaluated. However, it is yet to establish and validate a comprehensive approach which can establish both qualitative and quantitative factors along with different decision-making levels and rank the decision preferences which constitutes a gap between the theory and their potential application. The study leads to the integrated SCPM model which could be a valuable contribution in order to measure SCPM in the manufacturing industry.

Abstract

Abstract— This study delves into the intricate relationships between Hospital Infrastructure Development (HID), Collaboration Information Flow (CIF), Forecasting and Planning Management (FPM), Technology Supply Chain Application (TSCA), Sustainable Hospital Supply Chain Management (SHSCM), and Sustainable Societal Advancement (SSA) within the healthcare sector of Bangladesh. Utilizing a structured questionnaire, data was collected from a diverse group of 22 respondents, including doctors, administrators, and patients. Frequencies Analysis, conducted using IBM SPSS, provided a comprehensive demographic overview, while the Alpha Cronbach test affirmed the reliability of the research instrument with a high value. The fitness index analysis, performed using IBM AMOS software, subsequent modifications based on the Modification Index (MI) results led to a model that closely met the criteria of CMIN, degrees of freedom (df), CMIN/df, incremental fit CFI IFI, and absolute fit RMSEA, underscoring the pivotal role of the aforementioned variables in enhancing SHSCM and contributing to SSA. The findings emphasize the significance of a robust healthcare supply chain in ensuring optimal healthcare delivery and broader societal benefits. This research offers valuable insights for healthcare administrators, policymakers, and stakeholders, providing a roadmap for building resilient, efficient, and sustainable healthcare systems in the post-pandemic era. Keywords—Sustainable Hospital Supply Chain Management (SHSCM), Sustainable Societal Advancement (SSA), IBM SPSS, IBM AMOS.

Abstract

The agricultural sector throughout the world has seen shifting significantly by suitably using e-technology. A good number of studies have been conducted on agriculture and food security. The growth rate of world organic farming or business increases to more than the growth rate of traditional agriculture. In Bangladesh the pace of growth of organic agriculture is insignificant. The organic agriculture or organic supply chain in Bangladesh was scarcely studied. Hence, an intensive study is needed for the organic agriculture industry to pursue the organic supply chain that leads to a promising growth of organic business.  A great deal of research has been conducted to explore the factors that may influence the organic supply chain and growth of the organic business. Several theories such as the diffusion of innovation theory, theory of planned behavior, marketing system and price of organic products, and quality function deployment have been studied and proposed to enhance the understanding of the issue. The integration of all these literature and theories has attracted the researcher’s attention. Thus, this study aims to explore the influence of information systems, e-technology, and the dynamics of the actors (consumer, retailer, intermediaries, transporter, farmer, and basic suppliers) on the organic supply chain enhancing the growth of the organic business. By adopting secondary data with collected data (primary data) using self-administrated questionnaires the research work was evaluated. A total of 389 responses from the organic agriculture industrial actors, consumers, and transporters were collected using stratified random sampling methods. To inspect and analyze data, Path Analysis and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) techniques were used with AMOS. The results of the study indicated that the proposed model provided a good understanding of the factors influencing the organic supply chain.  From the result, it was also revealed that the organic supply chain has a significant impact on the growth of organic farming and organic consumers and the performance of organic businesses. The research objectives of this study were accomplished and all research hypotheses were supported. This study theoretically offers useful information and collected data might help to further research relevant to the organic supply chain. In addition, the study finds a way to foster a better understanding and knowledge of the organic supply chain. It is encouraged to do future research to study the factors and information and impact of the organic supply chain from various aspects. Keywords: organic supply chain, e-technology, organic agriculture, growth of organic business, SEM, AMOS
