Abstract

This research was conducted on cement board panel using Glodogan leaves, that were already cut into pieces with a length of 5-20 mm and a width of 3-10 mm. Then, they were soaked in cold water for 24 hours than dried in room temperature for a day. Various compositions used for the mixture of instant cement volume MU-301 and leaf waste were 1: 0, 1: 0.2, 1: 0.4, 1: 0.6, 1: 0.8, and 1: 1.0 with a water mixture ratio of 0.15. The process of making the mixture was done by using a vibrating table of 30-60 seconds and then carried out hydraulic compression with a load of 3 kg/cm ². The result indicates that more leaf waste in cement board panel leads to an increased water seepage, water absorption, moisture content and thickness swelling. Moreover, increasing the addition of leaf waste can also reduce the density, specific gravity, flexural strength, compressive strength and tensile strength. The result also indicates that the lowest the highest flexural strength of 2.90 MPa does not meet the minimum requirement of 10 MPa (SNI 15-0233-1989), which was resulted from the mixture with the composition of leaf waste 0.2. This was the most possible mixture to be developed. Keywords: Leaves waste, cement board panel, flexural strength, water absorption, and water seepage. Abstrak. Penelitian dilakukan pada papan panel semen dengan menggunakan daun Glodogan dipotong-potong ukuran panjang 5 - 20 mm dan lebar 3 - 10 mm kemudian direndam dalam air dingin selama 24 jam dan dikeringkan. Komposisi campuran yang digunakan berdasarkan perbandingan volume campuran semen instan MU-301 : SD adalah 1 : 0; 1 : 0,2; 1 : 0,4; 1 : 0,6 ; 1 : 0,8; 1 : 1,0 dengan faktor air campuran (f.a.c.) 0,15. Proses pembuatan dilakukan dengan penggetaran menggunakan vibrating table selama 30 - 60 detik kemudian dilakukan pengempaan hidraulis dengan beban sebesar 3 kg/cm². Hasil analisis menunjukkan semakin banyak sampah daun pada papan panel semen mengakibatkan peningkatan rembesan air, daya serap air, kadar air dan pengembangan tebal. Selain meningkatkan penambahan sampah daun juga dapat menurunkan densitas, berat jenis, kuat lentur, kuat tekan dan kuat tarik. Hasil penelitian kuat lentur tertinggi sebesar 2,90 MPa tidak memenuhi persyaratan minimum 10 MPa (SNI 15-0233-1989), yang dihasilkan oleh campuran dengan komposisi variasi 0,2 SD. Campuran ini merupakan campuran yang paling memungkinkan untuk dikembanngkan. Kata kunci : Sampah daun, papan panel semen, kuat lentur, daya serap air, rembesan air

Abstract

The need of the advanced infrastructure facilities, such as long-span concrete bridges , high-rise concrete buildings should be considered as the new concrete development. Improving the quality of concrete can be done with a material change or replacement of some materials with steel slag. The recent time many industry take a part in using waste material from Cilegon steel. In Indonesia, high quality concrete compressive strength can be achieved a maximum strength about 60 MPa. Concrete properties will decrease as a result of the added material strength of cement, aggregates, and the presence of pores. Water cement ratio reduction (w/r) and the addition of admixture as silicafume often used to modify the composition of the concrete and reduce pores. W/r reductions result in reduced porosity and the pores of the concrete, but workability concrete also be difficult to do. In order to make concrete workable the used superplastisizer is the best solution to do. Small water cement ratio 0.2 and superplasticizer intramix kind High Range water reduction at a dose of 1.8% can produce high-performance concrete. In the cement composition 1217kg, 243kg of water, sand 446kg, 545kg steel slag, superplasticizer silicafume 24l 85kg and obtained high quality concrete with compressive strength of 588.53 kg/cm2 in slump flow with the weight of 2230kg/m3 64mm. Principles of compaction without using a vibrator to use a substance without reducing the quality of the concrete risers. Small factors of w/r requires careful stirring using a saturated aggregate surface is helpful meaning in manufacture high quality concrete. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian dilakukan pada papan semen sekam padi dengan variasi kadar semen 75%, 100%, 125%, 150%, 175% dan 200%. Analisis menunjukkan bahwa Papan semen sekam padi yang dilapisi dengan anyaman bambu nilai berat papan, kerapatan, kadar air, pengembangan tebal dan kuat lentur rata-rata lebih besar masing-masing sebesar 49,381%; 13,342%; 30,206%; 146,106% dan 74,642% dari papan semen tanpa anyaman bambu. Sedangkan nilai penyerapan air papan semen sekam padi yang dilapisi dengan anyaman bambu rata-rata lebih rendah 37,092%. Papan semen sekam padi tanpa anyaman bambu yang memiliki sifat fisik dan mekanik yang paling baik serta masih memenuhi standar SNI 03-6861.1.2002 adalah papan semen sekam padi dengan komposisi kadar semen diatas 125% PC. Sedangkan untuk papan semen sekam padi dengan anyaman bambu semuanya memenuhi standar, tetapi yang memiliki sifat fisik dan mekanik yang paling baik serta kuat lentur yang tinggi adalah papan semen sekam padi dengan komposisi kadar semen 1 limbah : 1,75 PC. Abstract

ABSTRACT The so called self compacting geopolymer concrete can be a response to the weakness of conventional concrete cause the need of cement and compaction process. Global warming caused by greenhouse gas emissions , such as co2 as a result of the use of portland cement can be reduced. Instant concrete will consist of aggregates and a mixture chemical composition of geopolimer in the absence of water. The activator of geopolymer concrete used alkaline solution consisting of sodium hydroxide ( naoh ) and sodium silicate , with fly ash binder . Variation of water binder ratio ( wbr ) from 0.30 , 0.25 and 0.20 combined with superplasticizer of 1% and 2 % . Aggregate to be used is split with a diameter of 10mm and fine aggregate sand. Results are mixed composition : naoh = 1 ; na2sio3 = 2 ; water = 1.8 ; fly - ash = 7.1 ; aggregate fine = 7.3 and split aggregate = 11 , with 20 % of superplasticizer . Used as a test specimen cylinders and beams for strength testing . Testing was conducted on the workability , flowability , and segregation . Blocking value ratio , and compressive strength testing will be a concrete value for this measure . Flowability testing , used lshaped box , j - ring test and v - funnel test while testing the workability with slump flow test used slump cone .
