Abstract

Air Remuding River is a river which located in Pangkal Niur Lama Hamlet, Riau Silip District, Bangka Regency. Air Remuding River is ± 1 km from Pangkal Niur Lama Hamlet. This study aims to analyze the structure of the fish community in the Air Remuding River and to analyze the relationship between the physical and chemical factors of the waters to the species composition of the fish in the Air Remuding River. This research conducted in the month of January 2020 in the waters of the Air Remuding River, Pangkal Niur Lama Hamlet, Riau Silip District, Bangka Belitung Islands Province. The results of this study indicate that the most common fish caught in the Air Remuding river we're 2501 fishes (Rasbora bankanensis). Diversity Index (H '), Air Remuding River fish with a range of 0.66-0.72. included in the criteria of moderate diversity, while the Uniformity Index (E), Air Remuding River fish were high uniformity and the Dominance Index ranged from 0.19 to 0.23. The composition of fish species in the Air Remuding River correlates with DO, depth, current velocity and nitrate.

Abstract

Bumang River is one of rivers which located in district of Mendo Barat, Bangka Regency. construction of dams and construction of reservoirs at the river that lead to decreasing of the quality of the environment, especially for the biodiversity of fish. The aim of this research was to investigate the diversity of fish, similarity index and domination index of fish in Bumang River, district of Mendo Barat, Bangka regency. The method used was survey-sampling method by placing two observation stations in way of purposive sampling. It was divided on certain stations, such as up and down stream station. The data collected was chemical and physicalwater parameters and fish sample by using gillnet. The result shows that 8 fish species in Bumang River in District of Mendo Barat, Bangka Regency.composed of 7 genus and 5 families were found. The diversity of fish population and species in Bumang River indicating on low and average range and was not dominate by certain species. Taken together, the populations of fish in Bumang River were uniform

Abstract

The Mendo River utilizes the local community for washing and bathing (MCK), rice fields, tin mining and fisheries. Sngai Mendo is included in a large river basin (DAS) so that it has the potential for various freshwater fisheries. The research objective was to analyze the diversity of fish found in the Mendo River, Bangka Regency. The research was conducted in February 2020 on the Mendo River. This study used a purposive sampling method at 3 Mendo River stations. The fishing gear used for sampling fish is the trap and net fishing gear (gillnet). The results showed that 9 species were found in the Mendo River, namely Baung (Mystus nemurus), Betok fish (Anabas testudineus), Cork fish (Channa striata), Kelincah fish (Belontia hasselti), Kepatung fish (Pristolepis grotii), catfish (Clarias sp.), Seluang fish (Rasboraca epholotaenia), Sepat fish (Trichogaster trichopterus) and giant prawns (Macrobrachium rosenbergii). The structure of the fish community in the Mendo River is still within the criteria of moderate diversity, which means that their habitat is in optimal condition and in accordance with the biota. The diversity index value of fish using traps ranged from 1.41 to 1.91 while the index value of fish diversity using gillnet fishing gear ranged from 0.61 to 1.31.
