Abstract

This research is a school action research conducted in 2 cycles. This study aims to determine the performance of teachers with the implementation of academic supervision of school principals. This research was conducted at SMA N 10 Pekanbaru. The subjects of this study were 4 subject teachers whose performance was still not optimal. The results of the research proved in the recapitulation of supervision of the first cycle to get an average value of 89.2, although the results of the study showed good, to look for a comparison then the research was still carried out in the second cycle. After conducting research in the second cycle, the results of the supervision assessment increased to 91.5. for the assessment of the performance of teachers of SMA N 10 in Cycles 1 and 2 an average of 89.5. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the implementation of supervision of the school principal can improve teachers performance in teaching and learning.

Abstract

This research was a classroom action research. This research was conducted in two cycles. The subjects of this study were students of grade XII SMA 10 Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study was to increase motivation and learning outcomes of students of SMA 10 Pekanbaru totaling 37 students. Physical material was given on the subject of static electricity. At the beginning the students were given a test to find out the students' learning abilities. It turns out that the pre-cycle scores of students were 79.05; lowest score was 75 and highest one was 82. Uncompleted students were 26 (70.27%) and the completed one was 11 students (29.73%). Criterion of Minimal Completness of School was 81. Furthermore, using the STAD method involves a lot of students in finding problems and solving them. The results obtained in the first cycle averaged 81.76; uncompleted was 18 (48.65%), completed one was 19 (51.35%). In the cycle II all of Student was complete (100%). The range and assessment criteria for pre cycle were high 11 (29.73%), enough one was 26 (70.27%). The first cycle was 18 (48.65%), 19 (51.35%), and the second cycle was 36 (97.30%) and very high was 1 (02.70%). Motivation of students in the first cycle to do the task diligently and quickly and happy and loyal in learning was enough 54.05%. at cycle II response and strong motivation in learning were 81.08% and happy and loyal in learning were high 83.78%

Abstract

The research conducted was a classroom action research (CAR) carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, implementing, and observing ended by a daily test. The subject of this research was XII class at SMA 10 Pekanbaru with a total of 41 students. The method used was the PBL (Problem Based Learning) model. Before the implementation of learning improvement, an initial test or pre-test was held, where the average score of pre-cycle was 75. This result did not fulfil the minimum mastery criterion (KKM) set by the school of 80. To overcome this problem, the researcher applied the PBL (Problem Based Learning) model to improve student physics learning outcomes. The results showed that the average score of students in the first cycle increased to 80.71 while the second cycle increased to 86.12. There were significant difference of students who fulfill the minimum mastery criterion in each cycle which 16 students in pre cycle (39.02%), 26 students in cycle I (63.41%), then it increased by 41 students (100%) in cycle II. The highest score of cycle I was 86 and cycle II increased to 90. From the findings, it can be concluded that by applying the PBL model can improve the physics learning outcomes of students at XII class of SMA Negeri 10 Pekanbaru.
