Abstract

This community service is carried out by presenting a new concept, namely virtual service from home as an effort to prevent Covid-19 and comply with government recommendations in implementing health protocols. Departing from anxiety and problems related to radicalism, SARA-ism, anarchism, to terrorism, this virtual service activity was carried out in order to campaign wasathiyah values by creating creative content: religious moderation videos, religious moderation posters, quotes, podcasts, and istighotsah (prayer together) virtually through social media Instagram, YouTube and Facebook. This virtual service activity received a very good response from the community, which indicates that this activity was successfully accepted and able to provide benefits to the community in order to foster a sense of unity and respect for differences.

Abstract

The abundant natural potential in the southern tip of Blitar Regency, East Java Province is not directly proportional to the ability of village communities to manage so that natural products sold at prices below market standards. A mediocre economy makes the group of mothers who are members of the Empowerment of Family Welfare try to get additional income. This dedication has succeeded in realizing the community empowerment program through training on village-based food processing, that is the avocado fruit, as a source of creative economy for the village community. Community service activities are carried out using the ABCD (Asset Based Community Development) method through four steps, namely: 1) Observation; 2) Planning; 3) Implementation; and 4) Evaluation. The results of the community service activities are the creative idea of ​​food processing and aspects of food production. Now village communities, especially housewive, are more creative and empowered and can generate additional income to help the family economy.

Abstract

The present research aims to analyse and describe the role of the Islamic figure as the main actor of the regional development as seen from a right governance perspective in Bangkalan Regency, Madura. This research is classified as descriptive research with a qualitative approach. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach by implementing the Interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana as the data analysis through data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verifying. The results show that the Islamic figure plays a significant role in making the regional development of the Bangkalan Regency successful, such as in decision making, infrastructure development, and social development. This research has implications for scientific progress in the field of Islamic studies, which is the results of this study prove that the leadership style with Islamic values can make governance practices better and more dignified. The role of the Islamic figure also leads to the government bureaucracy change through the implementation of ethical governance principles such as strategic vision, participation, accountability, effectiveness, and efficiency
