Abstract

The use of diction in the food stall menu in Makassar. This study aims to: (1) describe the form of diction on the food stall menu list in Makassar, (2) describe the meaning of diction on the food stall menu list in Makassar, (3) describe the function of diction in the food stall menu list in Makassar. This type of research is qualitative research. The source of data in this study is the menu of a food stall in Makassar. The results of the study reveal the form of diction, types of meaning, and function of diction. The forms of diction used on food stalls in Makassar are basic words, affixes, reduplications, and compounding. There are nine types of meaning found in the use of diction in food stall menus in Makassar, namely lexical meaning, grammatical meaning, referential meaning, denotative meaning, connotative meaning, general meaning, special meaning, associative meaning, and idiomatical meaning. In addition, the diction function used on the food stall menu in Makassar, namely the function of providing information, the function of attraction, and the unique function.

Abstract

Analysis Structure Fable Texts Students of Grade VII State Junior High School 18 Makassar. This study aims to describe the structure of fable story text in the writing of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 18 Makassar on aspects of the fable story text content. The data collection techniques in this study were the writing technique of fable story texts. The research data was obtained through assignments by teachers to students, which were done at school. The results showed that. The use of fable story structure written by eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 18 Makassar which included the use of structure (orientation, complications, resolution and koda) found as many as ten fable stories. 1 fable story that does not have a resolution structure, and there are ten fable stories that do not have a koda structure of a total of 20 fable stories.

Abstract

The Effect of the Field Trip Method on Students' Poetry Text Writing Learning Outcomes. This study aims to determine the effect of the field trip method on the learning outcomes of writing poetry texts for class VII students of SMPN 1 Turikale Maros. This research is an experiment with a sample of 32 students. Data collection techniques used by researchers in the form of tests in the form of pretests and posttests The collected data is then processed and analyzed using inferential statistical analysis and descriptive statistics. The research results show that the use of the field trip method has an effect on learning to write poetry texts. The field trip method can provide a stimulus for students to express ideas and ideas in writing poetry based on objects that are felt, seen, and heard.
