Abstract

DKI Jakarta Province is one of the cities that has succeeded in implementing the concept of smart city in Indonesia, which began in 2014 and was implemented in June 2015. In this short period of time, DKI Jakarta Province has received various awards at both the national and international levels. This shows better urban management compared to other regions in Indonesia. For this reason, the purpose of this study is to find out how the strategy of the DKI Jakarta Province is accelerating the development of smart cities. The approach used is a qualitative approach with a qualitative method. Data collection techniques consist of interviews, field observations and secondary data collection which are then analyzed through descriptive analysis techniques. The results of this study are to accelerate the development of smart cities in DKI Jakarta Province, there are 6 acceleration strategies including differentiation of e-government implementation with smart city, smart city ecosystem management institutions, professional experts, private collaboration, cost social responsibility (CSR) of private companies and promotion through social media.
