Abstract

Abstract. Elementary education or elementary school is the initial momentum for children to improve their abilities, from elementary school they get immunity to learning which then becomes a habit they do in the future. Thematic learning in class II on how to take care of animals, there are still many students who are not used to doing it at home. For this reason, there is a need for education from schools that foster students' love for animals and plants in the student's environment. This learning must be started early so that in the future students are accustomed to doing it at home. The thing that is currently blocking it is the existence of a pandemic so that learning from teachers must be online, but teachers must be more creative in developing their professionalism. The teacher uses the Picture and Picture learning method so that online learning goes well. Based on this, qualitative research is needed on students in learning about Caring for Animals. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR). Data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.

Abstract

Abstract: Children will find it difficult to solve problems by relying solely on their brain power without trying to do direct activities. One learning approach that can meet these needs is active learning which can be implemented in several learning methods. In class II learning at SDN Kepanjenkidul 1 Blitar City, it can be seen in practice that many students cannot understand a concept. Teachers are less creative in providing learning materials. It can be seen from the learning outcomes in the pre-action of 16 students who achieved completeness only as many as 5 students or 31%. With these results, the teacher conducted classroom action research with qualitative descriptive research, using the Experimental method. The experimental method is a way of presenting where students can experiment by experiencing and proving for themselves something they have learned Abstrak: Anak akan menemui kesulitan untuk memecahkan masalah dengan hanya mengandalkan daya otaknya tanpa mencoba melakukan kegiatan yang bersifat langsung. Salah satu pendekatan pembelajaran yang dapat memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut adalah pembelajaran aktif yang dapat diimplementasikan dalam beberapa metode pembelajaran. Pada pembelajaran kelas II SDN Kepanjenkidul 1 Kota Blitar dapat diketahui pada praktiknya banyak siswa yang belum bisa memahami suatu konsep. Guru kurang kraetif dalam memberikan materi pembelajaran. Hal tersebut dapat diketahui dari hasil pembelajaran pada pra tindakan dari 16 siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan hanya sebanyak 5 siswa atau sebesar 31%. Dengan hasil tersebut, guru melakukan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, menggunakan metode Eksperimen. Metode eksperimen merupakan cara penyajian dimana siswa dapat melakukan percobaan dengan mengalami dan membuktikan sendiri sesuatu yang dipelajarinya
