Abstract

This research aims to improve students’ learning outcome through learning based project on the lecturing of the Development of Audio Media in the Department of Curriculum and Educational Technology School of Education UNY.The type of this research is class action research. The subject of this research is 29 students of Study Program of Educational Technology FIP UNY who are conducting The Development of Audio Media lecturing on academic year 2009/2010. The method of data collection used in this research are test and observation, using the research instrument of test and observation sheet or guidance. The collected data is analised using qualitative descriptive.The research findings show that learning based project could improve students’ outcome on the Development of Audio Media lecturing of Study Program Educational Technology FIP UNY. Moreover, through this research, students become more active in learning process, and the cooperation between students improved significantly.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan interaktivitas pembelajaran melalui penggunaan komunikasi asynchronous di Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 32 orang mahasiswa Program Studi Teknologi Pendidikan UNY, yang menempuh mata kuliah Pengembangan E-learning Berbasis Web pada tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan teknik wawancara, check list, dan dokumentasi, serta dianalisis secara deskriptif melalui teknik persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meningkatkan interaktivitas pembelajaran melalui penggunaan komukasi asynchronous pada mata kuliah pengembangan e-learning berbasis web di Prodi TP UNY dilakukan melalui 4 hal bahwa komunikasi asynchronous: (1) diterapkan secara konsisten pada mata kuliah e-Learning Berbasis Web, (2) digunakan menancap (embed) pada e-LearningUNY (Besmart), (3) dimanfaatan untuk menyelesaiakn tugas yang memerlukan kolaborasi, dan (4) menggunakan tipe yang berfariasi. Interaktivitas pembelajaran mahasiswa sebelum diterapkan komunikasi asynchronous berada di kategori sangat rendah dengan persentase 35%. Terjadi peningkatan interaktivitas pembelajaran mahasiswa setelah diterapkan komunikasi asynchronous di siklus pertama pada kategori rendah dengan persentase 60%, dan kembali meningkat di siklus kedua pada kategori sangat tinggi dengan persentase 82,33%.Kata kunci: interaktivitas pembelajaran, komunikasi asynchronous IMPROVING LEARNING INTERACTIVITY BY IMPLEMENTING ASYNCHRONOUS COMMUNICATION IN YOGYAKARTA STATE UNIVERSITYAbstractThis research aims to improve learning interactivity by asynchronous communication in web based e-learning development course. This study used a classroom action research (CAR) which is conducted in two cycles. The subjects were 32 students of Curriculum and Educational Technology Department Yogyakarat State University (YSU) who participated in the web based e-learning development course in academic year 2015/2016. The data were collected using percentage method by interview, check list and documentation. The result shows that, improving instructional interactivity by asynchronous communication in web based e-learning development course were conducted using four strategies, i.e: 1) asynchronous communication applied consistently on Web-based e-Learning courses, 2) embedding on e-Learning of Yogyakarta State University (Besmart), 3) utilized for completion of tasks that require collaboration, and 4) using a varied type of asynchronous mode. Learning interactivity was reach 35 % in a very low category before asynchronous communication were implemented. The result shows in the 1st cycle, instructional interactivity rose up to 60% in a low category. In the 2nd cycle, it provides dramatically improvement up to 82,33% in very high category.Keywords: instructional interactivity, asynchronous communication

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk bahan ajar e-modul berbasis hypercontent mata pelajaran pengelolaan audio video untuk siswa kelas XII Multimedia SMK Negeri 1 Godean yang layak berdasarkan review dari ahli materi, ahli media, guru dan siswa. Jenis penelitian menggunakan Research and Development dengan menggunakan model pengembangan four-D (define, design, develop dan disseminate). Namun dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tiga tahap yang terdiri dari define, design dan develop. Subjek penelitian ini siswa kelas 12 jurusan multimedia. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan angket. Analisis data menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian pengembangan ini berupa bahan ajar e-modul berbasis hypercontent yang berisikan materi pengambilan gambar bergerak. E-modul yang dikembangkan menggabungkan beberapa media, terdiri dari: media teks yang digunakan untuk menyajikan materi dalam bentuk tulisan, media gambar dan video digunakan untuk memperjelas dalam penyampaian materi dan pemberian contoh, serta hyperlink yang digunakan sebagai sumber rujukan materi yang ada dinternet. Berdasarkan hasil validasi produk memperoleh kategori layak untuk digunakan sebagai bahan ajar siswa kelas 12 di SMK Negeri 1 Godean. Rata-rata skor 4,45 (layak) oleh ahli materi, 4,04 (layak) oleh ahli media, 4,2 (layak) oleh guru, 4,04 (layak) pada saat uji coba awal, dan 4,22 (layak) pada uji coba lapangan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to test (1) the effectiveness of the application of the project-based learning model on improving critical thinking skills (2) the effectiveness of the application of the project-based learning model on improving student creativity skills. The subjects used in this study were students who took the class B media script writing course at the Yogyakarta State University Educational Technology Study Program in the 2023/2024 academic year. This research is a quasi-experimental type of research with a one group pretest-posttest scheme design. Data on students' critical thinking skills and creativity were obtained using a questionnaire before and after the application of the project-based learning model in lecture activities. Data on critical thinking skills and student creativity were then tested using paired samples t test. The results of the paired samples t test found critical thinking ability and creativity each showed a value of 0.00. In this study, it can be concluded that (1) the application of the project-based learning model is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills (2) the application of the project-based learning model is effective in improving students' creativity.
