Abstract

Children are the next generation for a nation. Therefore a child must be prepared early on both mentally, socially and spiritually. Expected of the growth and Development can be optimal. To obtain optimal growth and development of the role of nutrition is very decisive. Posyandu is defined as a basic health activity organized from, by and for communities assisted by health workers. One of the Posyandu activities is to monitor the growth of children under five with KMS tools. If a Posyandu cadre has not understood the tendency of growth chart of KMS ,it will have an impact on the result of growth status of the child. The study conducted at one posyandu in Ciracas in East Jakarta on 33 Posyandu cadres showed that most of the cadres were unskilled in plotting the growth chart by 60.6% and the skilled 39.4%. Most cadres have female sex (97.0%), age of cadre most age 46-65 year that is 17 cadre (51.3%), long become cadre most 6-10 year 19 cadre (57.6%). While the highest level of cadre education is the basic education cadres of 15 cadres (44.1%), who have attended training on KMS only 16 cadres (48.5%), knowledge of cadres is mostly medium knowledge of 15 cadres (45.5%). From the results of the analysis shows that cadre skills depend on cadre knowledge. Suggestions for improving skills are the necessity of holding the rotating duties so that each cadre is skilled in carrying out the growth measurement path. For Puskesmas, it is necessary to hold regular training or refresher about Posyandu activity especially KMS plotting.

Abstract

The First Thousand Days of Life, which is 270 days during pregnancy and 730 days in the first life of the baby, is a sensitive period because the problems that arise are permanent. The biggest problem that occurs in children is stunting (37.2%). In addition, one factor that supports the nutritional status of women of childbearing age who still experience Chronic Energy (20.8%). The best approach is to prepare the bridge and groom's nutritional status and increase knowledge about the First 1000 Days of Life. The purpose of this study is to determine the description of nutritional status of prospective brides based on knowledge about the First 1000 Days of Life. This research use qualitative method with cross sectional design with sampling accidental sampling within 1 week with result of 21 bride candidate. Result of nutritional status of bride candidate is normal (85,7%), while for knowledge about 1000 First Day of Life included in enough category (57,1%). Suggestion for the office of religious affairs is that on pre-marriage counseling is given material about the First 1000 Days of Life. Some extension materials about the motto of the card to healthy, calcium-containing foods and the suggestion to consume tablets added blood.

Abstract

One of the nutritional problems in the world is stunting. Stunting is a condition where a toddler has less length or height when compared to age. Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem caused by many factors. One of the factors that can cause stunting is complementary feeding. Infants who are not getting good complementary feeding have a greater chance of growth growth by 6.5 times compared to babies who get enough complementary feeding. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of stunting in the under two years old by giving complementary feeding in the working area of ​​Puskesmas 1, Sumbang District, Banyumas Regency, Central Java. This descriptive analytic study was taken from secondary data using a cross sectional design conducted on 444 mothers who have children aged 6-23 months in the working area of ​​the District 1 Sumbang Puskesmas. The results showed that there was no significant relationship between nutritional status of under two years on the practice of giving complementary feeding (p = 0.06), type of complementary feeding (p = 0.857), and frequency of complementary feeding (p = 0.393). However, there were differences in nutritional status based on age at the first time giving complementary feeding to under two years whose diet was incomplete (p = 0.001) and differences in nutritional status based on the type of complementary feeding given to under two years who washed their hands did not use soap (p = 0.03
