Abstract

Strategi interaksi menjadi penting dalam konteks perdagangan. Dalam strategi komunikasi, kode menjadi entitas yang utama untuk menarik perhatian mitra tutur. Untuk itu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah 1) mendeskripsikan wujud alih dan campur kode dalam interaksi penjual dan pembeli di kawasan makam Sunan Kudus dan 2) mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi alih dan campur kode serta alasan penjual serta pembeli menggunakan pilihan bahasa dalam dalam interaksi penjual dan pembeli di kawasan makam Sunan Kudus. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode simak dilanjutkan menggunakan teknik simak bebas libat cakap, rekam, dan catat. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah penggalan tuturan penjual dan pembeli yang mengandung alih dan campur kode. Adapun sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah tuturan antara penjual dan pembeli di kawasan makam Sunan Kudus. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kartu data. Setelah itu,  analisis data dilakukan dengan metode padan menggunakan teknik pilah unsur penentu dan teknik baca markah. Di samping itu, interpretasi data dilakukan dengan cara nonformal. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif sebagai pendekatan metodologis. Sementara itu, teori sosiolinguistik digunakan sebagai pendekatan teoretis. Ditemukan strategi komunikasi dalam bentuk alih dan campur kode dalam ranah perdagangan. Hal ini dipengaruhi faktor utama berupa tujuan tuturan dengan faktor pengiring lingkungan penutur.

Abstract

BIPA students in Hanoi, Vietnam have unique characteristics. For this reason, this study aims to reveal the learning difficulties of BIPA students at the basic level. This research is a case study that describes the difficulties of BIPA students in Hanoi, Vietnam in learning Indonesian language and culture. The research was conducted with an autoethnographic approach. The data of this research are fragments of speech and learning outcomes of BIPA students. This is generated from data sources in speech and discourse in BIPA learning in the classroom. The data is generated from the natural observation process. The data was presented informally. These difficulties become their unique and distinctive character. This can be used as a basis for preparing teaching materials and learning processes. In general, some difficulties are found at the phonological, morphological, syntactic, and discourse levels. For example, the word [rusak] becomes [lusak], [ramai] becomes [zamai], and [rajin] becomes [lajin]. This is influenced by the habits of Vietnamese speakers who often pronounce the sound [r] at the beginning of the word to become [z], such as [rau] to [zau] which means 'vegetable', [rεt] becomes [zεt] which means 'very'. The difficulty of BIPA students is generally influenced by their first or second language, namely Vietnamese and English. Therefore, these difficulties need to be identified and grouped as recommendations for learning BIPA in Hanoi, Vietnam in the next period.

Abstract

Indonesian for Speakers of Other Languages (BIPA) has a diplomacy purpose. A cultural diplomacy is one of the main purposes in BIPA Program. This study was aimed to describe an Indonesian language and cultural diplomatic process in Tunisia, introduction of Indonesian for Speakers of Other Languages to the student by culinary, and introduction of Lumpia, Pukis, and Risoles to promote BIPA class in University of Ezzitouna, Tunisia. The data were collected via study case method. A researcher took a part in the even to collect and analyze the research data. A diplomatic mission to introduce language and culture of Indonesia could be showed by culinary. The culinary such as Lumpia, Pukis, and Risoles were popular in Indonesia. They also had a similar taste with Tunisian culinary. This way became one of the BIPA’s support to promote an Indonesian culture. A student in University of Ezzitouna interested to join BIPA class after trying to taste the culinary. Therefore, culinary had a good implication to support diplomatic mission to open BIPA class in the University of Ezzitouna, Tunisia. Keywords: bipa; cultural diplomacy; indigenous culinary
