Abstract

This research using quantitative data which includes comparative research or research that aimed to know differences between two variable or more for to know are have difference about anxiety in choose major in college on the students twelve grades observed from guidance and counseling. The research sampling method using purposive sample and size of samples amount 45 students twelve grades Jembatan Lima who get guidance and counseling and 45 students twelve grades Duri Raya who didn’t get guidance and counseling. This research used anxiety scale are reviewed by Dacey & Fiore’s (2002) component. Reliability anxiety scale value in choose major in college on amount .930 consisted 22 item. The analysis data using Mann – U Whitney represent that have differences about anxiety in choose major in college on the students twelve grades Jembatan Lima who get guidance and counseling with the students twelve grades Duri Raya who didn’t get guidance and counseling. Keywords: Anxiety in choose major in college, Guidance and Counseling, and Students twelve grades.

Abstract

The role of stay at home dad in Indonesia, especially in the big city such as Jakarta, it was not a new thing, but status of stay at home dad was emerging where role or traditional system could not be applied to the families in this city. Now, the housewife was not longer could be a central decision to decide the daily life activities to be a healthy family, there was any stay at home dad took one of that part, as a caretaker and figure of mother. This topic was anaylized by using theoretical literature descriptive analysis. Subject in this topic was father who did as a stay at home dad. As a result of this study, based on theoretical literature analysis, showed that role as stay at home dad gave the best role to build a healthy and harmonic family, including nursing, deciding and separating the role, especially family in Indonesia. Keywords : stay at home dad, family, healthy family

Abstract

At the university level, many students who take an active role in the stewardship of the organization. Students Association (HMJ) is an intra-campus students who are majoring in science within the scope of a particular faculty. HMJ organizations focus more on non-academic activities that are scientific, reasoning, and professional development programs in accordance with scientific studies. The study was conducted to determine differences in intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation on board Department Student Association.This research is a quantitative study using a measuring instrument with a Likert scale questionnaire. The subject of this study were students who were active in the management department at the University Student Association of the Mother. Analytical techniques used in this study is an Independent Samples T-Test. Based on test results Independent Samples T-Test as seen from the results of Levene's test showed a p-value = 0.568 indicates that there were no differences in intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation on board Department Student Association.However, intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation, intrinsic motivation where the differences seen on board HMJ Faculty of Engineering and Design tends to be lower than the caretaker HMJ Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. As for extrinsic motivation, the board of HMJ School of Social Sciences and Humanities tend to be higher than the board HMJ Faculty of Engineering and Design.Keyword: Intrinsic Motivation, Extrinsic Motivation, Student.

Abstract

Childhood is the the beginning period of the development of intelligence, the role of adult and parenting environment can initially be applied to develop the cognitive abilities of children. Subjects in this study were pre-school children who are raised in an orphanage, with the best upbringing. This study is a descriptive quantitative research, data collection techniques using survey techniques and analyzed by descriptive data analysis techniques. These results indicate that the intelligence picture of preschool children who are raised in foster homes in the category of above average percentage of 75% of the sample, intelligence is measured using a CPM test (Coloured Progressive Matrics).Keywords : intelligence, anak pra sekolah, orphanage

Abstract

College as an educational institution has an important role in education. Aside from being a bridge for the transformation of knowledge, the college is also in charge of creating human beings are skilled and reliable in the face of the real working world. In order to achieve these objectives, the role of the lecturer as an educator at the college is very important.In this case spirituality at work is needed to improve the quality of the lecture. Spirituality at work is one of the psychological climate in which people who work have an internal life that nourishes and nurtured by meaningful work, and feeling connected with others and with the community in workplace. Purpose of this study is to describe spirituality at work on lectures in Jakarta. The method used is descriptive method, a method in researching the status of a group of people, an object, condition, thought, or an event in the present, the goal is to create a description, picture, or painting in a systematic, factual and accurate information on the facts-facts, properties and relationships between the phenomena investigated. The results obtained in this study is spirituality at work on lectures in Jakarta who are in the high category with the percentage is 28.83%, with the validity of .30 and reliability of .940. Keywords: Spirituality, Sprituality at work, lecturers

Abstract

Starting era of globalization and technology, is an era by setting a particular specification for the human resources that give great influence to the world of education. At some universities, especially educational organizations, people or human resources is an important element, in this case is a lecturer. Competency of lecturers will be increased according to increasing faculty commitment to the profession. Therefore, it is important as an educational institution (college) to be able to create the conditions and climate that can strengthen the commitment of profession. Lecturer professional commitment was measured using a questionnaire based on the characteristics of a profession committed lecturer in the opinion of Meyer and Allen (in Bagraim, 2003), the reliability of 0.811. The population were the University of “XY” lecturer. Subjects in this study were drawn from a total of 48 lecturer with a saturation sampling technique (Sugiyono, 2005). This study aims to know the description of the profession's commitment of University of “XY”. Survey data collection method and analyzed by descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed that the profession's commitment lecturer University of “XY” Jakarta is reflected in a positive affective commitment to the profession.Keywords: description of professional commitment, commitment, lecturer profession

Abstract

Compensation is all income in the form of money, goods directly or indirectly received by an employee in return for services rendered to the company. Job satisfaction is a positive feeling about one's work is the result of an evaluation of its characteristics. The purpose of this study was to determine how important the effect of compensation on job satisfaction of employees at PT. X in Central Jakarta which affects the performance of employees at PT. X, Central Jakarta.This study uses quantitative research methods. Using the questionnaire method. The population in this study are all of the employees of PT. X in Central Jakarta by the number of employees 120 employees. Based on measurements using the formula Yamane then of the whole population of 120 people then the sample in this study as many as 92 people. Based on calculations MAS, showed p-value 0.000 <0.05, significant meaning, while the F count 137.796> F table of 3.96, meaning that significant. This means that compensation affects the job satisfaction of employees. Based on calculations using SPSS 12 for windows (data attached), shows the value of the adjusted coefficient of determination (Adjusted R Square) of 0.601 means that 60.1% of dependent variables of job satisfaction is explained by the independent variable compensation and the remaining 39.9% is explained by other variables outside variables used. When viewed from the calculation then the correlation between job satisfaction variable compensation by showing figure of 0.778. The figure shows a strong correlation and direction. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion that has been presented, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between positive towards the provision of compensation to the job satisfaction of employees in PT. Abstract

Century 21 is known as the knowledge century, an era by setting a particular specification for the human resources that give great influence to the world of education. At a school organization, people or human resources is an important element, in this case is the teacher. Competency of teachers will be increased according to increase teachers' commitment to the profession. Therefore, it is important as an educational institution (school organization) to be able to create the conditions of school organization that is able to strengthen the commitment of the teaching profession. Commitment of the teaching profession was measured using a questionnaire adopted from Situmorang (2000) based on the characteristics of the professional commitment of teachers in the opinion of Meyer and Allen (in Steers, 1985). Subjects in this study were from the population of teachers in school X. The sample in this study are the organization of kindergarten teachers, elementary and junior high, East Jakarta, as many as 84 teachers. Abstract

Adjustment can be defined as an individual's ability to identify with group expectations. A healthy individual should be able to understand the expectations of the individual place in accordance with these expectations. Students have to make adjustments to the new situations and demands, such as self-study without having to be supervised, be prepared for sudden in-class exams, studying in groups. Disability in adjustment to the demands of the existing situation. This research is a comparative study. The subject was the entire board and members of student organizations and who are not members of student organizations at the University of Bunda Mulia. Collecting data using a questionnaire modified from the questionnaire Bell Adjustment Inventory (1934). Test the validity of the instruments is done by using a test construct validity, the reliability values to 0915. Analysis of research data used non-parametric Mann Whitney test with the result that there was no difference in the correlation between students who are in organization and not in organization. Keyword: self adjusment, student, organizational

Abstract

Researchers will conduct research to determine the differences in emotional intelligence in students who join the organization with a student who did not join the organization. The purpose of this study in order to gain more knowledge and insight for both students and colleges. The research method used in this research is descriptive quantitative and perform calculations using SPSS 13.0 for windows. From the research it can be concluded that the hypothesis is acceptable, so there is a significant difference in emotional intelligence in students who join the organization with a student who did not attend the organization. Suggestions that can be applied is the college should require all students to join the organization by providing containers of diverse organizations. Keywords : Emotional Intelligence, Organizations, Student
