Set of farm exist in research area consist of 14 set of and farm of sampel research taken only 3 set of farm. Technique intake of sample by using technique of sample regional relied on  variation  set of farm. Intake of sample by chosening variation set of existing farm purposive sample  where taken sample counted one sampel deputizing each;every variation set of farm fulfilling criterion to be made by farm for the crop of rice field paddy. Reason of intake of this method because  set of farm which is  same to be assumedhave owned is same characteristic also, so that set of the is same farm form can deputize by set of farm. Data analysis the used is descriptive that is analysis in the form of tables of comparison between farm characteristic ( tekstur, structure, permeability, drainage, land;ground pH, organic materials, rainfall, bevel) compared to storey;level according to rice field paddy crop farm. Result of research of  that 1) There are difference of farm characteristic that is permeability at one farm, pH in each set of farm, drainage  two farm, and organic materials at one farm exist in Countryside Pagar  Puding District Of Tebo Ulu Sub-Province of Tebo Provinsi Jambi 2) There are him kinds of  according to farm for the crop of rice field paddy in Countryside Pagar  Puding District Of Tebo Ulu Sub-Province of Tebo. Set of farm which including category According to ( 2) there are [at] set of fluvial farm form ( F) with farm form of F1. I. Sw. Qa. Lat and set of natural and farm form ( F3) with set of farm of F3.III.Sw.Qtk. Pod, and set of very farm according to ( 1) there are  set of plain farm of fluvial ( F3) with set of farm of F1. I. Sw. Abstract

ABSTRACT  This research is motivated a system of slash and burn forest clearing is done in the community in Koto XI Tarusan district. This study aims to: 1) Condition of soil physical (texture, structure, consistency and permeability soil) on forest slash and burn system in Koto XI Tarusan District Pesisir Selatan Region, 2) the chemical properties of soil conditions (soil reaction (pH) on the slash in Koto XI Tarusan District Pesisir Selatan Region and 3) biological properties of soil conditions (soil organic matter) in the slash and burn system of forest in Koto XI Tarusan District Pesisir Selatan Region. The sampling technique was purposive sampling, the sample was appointed by the intended use of the land which represent areas of research. Data analysis used descriptive analysis go round the tables in the form of a comparison between the characteristics of the soil properties (soil texture, soil structure, soil consistency, soil pH, and organic matter) than the level of suitability of land for rice crops. The results showed that: (1) The physical properties of the soil in the entire study sample obtained clay texture with smooth category, good soil structure on the category 2 and category rather well sampled at 2 samples, the consistency of the soil in the bad category 2 samples and 2 samples of both categories and slow soil permeability criteria and criteria on 2 samples were in 2 samples. (2) The chemical properties of the soil (soil pH) category rather poorly contained in either category 3 samples and samples at 1, (3) biological properties of soil (Organic Material) category was the 2 samples and the high category in 2 samples, and ( 4 ) morphological land on slash and burn system in Koto XI Tarusan District both categories in 2 samples and morphology were in 2 samples

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aimed to determine the rate of erosion Based On The cliffs of Land Use in the Upper River Flows Rod Part Lumpo District of South Coastal District IV Jurai. The method used in this research is descriptive method, sampling method in this study is purposive sampling method (Choosing Samples), where the unit of measurement is the headwaters of Batang Lumpo .Measured erosion rates based on land use, vegetation type, slope climbing, and distribution of rocks. The results showed that: (1) The rate of erosion in the study area based on land use categories have easily eroded, (2) The rate of erosion in the study area based on vegetation classified as a category that is easy to erosion, making it susceptible to erosion. Types of vegetation consisting of grass, paddy fields, coconut, areca nut, mango, banana, chocolate and durian. This situation makes the vegetation upstream Trunk Lumpo relatively easily eroded , ( 3 ) The rate of erosion in the study area belong to the category of rock slope based on the skew between 14-21 % . This slope causes the potential to moderate erosion on the upstream rod Lumpo and (4) The rate of erosion in the study area based distribution of rocks on the upstream rod Lumpo classified as moderate because it consists of gravel and sand.
