Abstract

Almost all mass media, especially online media in Indonesia, take advantage of eroticism or pornography news as one of the main attractions for reporting. Kompas.com is among those who consistently report on the immoral video scandal of Dea Onlyfans in the period March-April 2022. The purpose of this study is to describe the pattern and construction of the news that was carried out by kompas.com in the pornographic case of Dea Onlyfans which various parties have highlighted. Kompas.com's spirit of quality journalism doesn't seem to be in line with kompas.com's exploitation of exaggerating or framing immoral news compared to other important news in the midst of the post-Covid-19 crisis, until the government's policies in Indonesia have been criticized. This study uses a qualitative method with a constructive approach. Researchers analyzed the presentation of the results of news construction using the framing model of Zhongdan Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki. As for the results of the analysis, namely Syntax, kompas.com relied on sensational and chronological news titles in exploiting immoral news; The script, Kompas.com is able to build interesting stories and make readers "addicted" in every news series that is broadcast. Thematically, kompas.com is able to connect and decipher facts so that they become stories that attract readers. Rhetorically, kompas.com used words of emphasis in every event featured in the Dea Onlyfans news. Keywords: kompas.com, framing, pornography

Abstract

The Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo) recorded and labeled 1,733 hoaxes related to Covid-19 and vaccines until May 2021. Mainstream media have not shown satisfactory results in educating the public in Indonesia in the midst of the infodemic. The Digital Literacy Activist Network (Japelidi) is one of the communities in Indonesia that has a great concentration on digital literacy. This community has a movement to educate the public who experience digital stuttering in the midst of the information wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. This article aims to explore the strategies used by Japelidi in mobilizing volunteers from various academics, communities to collaborations carried out during the Pandemic. The method used in. This study uses an analysis of the Culture Participatory Theory, which was initiated by Henry Jenkins. The findings are that Japelidi uses three clusters as a strategy in literacy development. This strategy consists of 3 circular clusters, namely the main cluster in the form of a single narrative, the meso cluster containing the description of the Single Narrative, and the outermost stakeholder cluster. While the digital literacy campaign strategies carried out are agenda setting, key message delivery, media distribution and target reach.
