Abstract

To increase the efficiency of condensation on the PLTGU (Gas and Steam Power Plant) a low pressure in condenser is needed, so steam moves faster toward the condenser because high pressure difference. To reduce pressure in the condenser, a vacuum pump is used. Vacuum pump engine maintenance in this study is in form of preventive maintenance (repairs carried out with the schedule scheduled by the component factory and/or by user experience), etc. This is because maintenance that is considered to be affordable both in terms of cost and field implementation in our country for power plants currently is preventive maintenance. What will be discussed here is preventive maintenance at the vacuum pump unit 1 of PT Indonesia Power PLTGU Tambak Lorok, Semarang. This discussion covers details of the vacuum pump preventive maintenance of each components, causal relationship of damage to causes, detailed analysis of the damage causes to vacuum pump components, etc.

Abstract

The purpose of this study, to determine the characteristics of piston ring material compression Tello diesel engine. Non original (NOM) diesel engine piston rings are heat treated with a holding time of 1.2 and 3 hours then hardness test, metallograhic test and chemical composition test.From the results of these test, compared with the results of the original diesel engine piston ring (OM) and piston ring (NOM) tests which were not subjected to heat treatment. The results obtained show a significant different between the OM piston ring and NOM piston ring with a hold time of 1. 2 and 3 hours especially in the hardness value. For OM and NOM piston ring elements 0f 77.5% and 89.2%, while carbon elements have the same value of >4 %. Whereas the results of microstructure testing show that the shape of graphite from several materials is different, both in form and size of graphite. For the hardness of the NOM piston ring with a hold tome of 3 hours the hardness value of 301 HV approaches the OM piston ring of 309 HV.

Abstract

Occupational Safety and Health now occupies an important place in the company, especially in industrial work. A sense of security and comfort at work is a demand for companies to be able to fulfill it in order to provide job security for workers. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of K3 in the implementation of work in the small industry of Pempek Belida in PT Cita Rasa Palembang based on SMK3. The study used survey questionnaires and direct interviews in the field, followed by identification of industrial locations, visual surveys in the industry and documentation taking in the field. At PT Cita Rasa Palembang, the implementation of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) has been going quite well, because in this Industry the work organizers have provided personal protective equipment (PPE) for workers and the socialization of K3 has also been carried out by the owners and workers quite understand it but there are still impressive workers who do not care about the Occupational Safety and Health, it can be seen from the results of the questionnaire stated, 100% (Yes) because the work of the food industry has provided personal protective equipment (PPE); 98% know what is meant by Occupational Safety and Health; and 100% of workers claim there is a guarantee of Occupational Safety and Health.

Abstract

Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja sekarang ini telah menduduki tempat yang penting dalam perusahaan terutama dalam pekerjaan industri.Rasa aman dan nyaman dalam bekerja merupakan tuntutan bagi perusahaan untuk dapat memenuhinya dalam rangka memberikan jaminan kerja bagi pekerja.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi implementasi K3 dalam pelaksanaan pekerjaan pada industri kecil Pempek Belida di PT Cita Rasa Palembang dengan berpatokan pada SMK3.Penelitian menggunakan questioner survei dan wawancara langsung di lapangan, dilanjutkan dengan identifikasi lokasi industri, survei secara visual di industri dan pengambilan dokumentasi dilapangan. Pada PT Cita Rasa Palembang, implementasi Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) sudah berjalan cukup baik, karena di Industri ini penyelenggarapekerjaan telah menyediakan alat pelindung diri (APD) bagi para pekerja dan adanya sosialisasi tentang K3 juga sudah dilakukan oleh pihak pemilik dan para pekerja cukup memahaminya namun masih ada saja pekerja yang berkesan tidak peduli dengan Keselamatan dan Kesehatan kerja tersebut, dapat dilihat dari hasil questioner menyatakan, 100% (Ya) karena pekerjaan industri makanan telah memberikan alat pelindung diri (APD); 98% mengetahui apa yang dimaksud dengan Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja; dan 100% pekerja menyatakan adanya jaminan Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja.
