Abstract

In this research, the researchers found a problem, that is the weakness of students in English, for example in vocabulary, Memorizing vocabulary that is usually done is always memorizing in a conventional way, so it is easy to forget and difficult to memorize. That's a big problem for memorizing vocabulary, especially for conversation. Based on the formulation of the research above, the objective of the research were formulated to identify whether time token Arends can improve the students’ vocabulary skills. The research that the researcher do here is a study literature, using a qualitative approach. In collecting the required data, the researcher uses books as primary data and previous theses and journals for secondary data, while in the discussion using the time token method, which is a method that is expected to be able to make students active in learning. According to references, the time token model can increase students' interest in speaking English through vocabulary, and students are active in expressing their opinions.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to implement the song on improvement students’ vocabulary at MTs Ikhlas Jawilan. In constructing this study, the researcher collected data from the Classroom Action Research. The subjects of this study were 30 students and the researcher used listening test method. The action was done in two cycles and each step has four steps. They were planning, acting, observing and reflecting. Based on the result of cycle I and cycle II that mean score in cycle I is 67 witch percentage of passing KKM is 33,33%. In cycle II mean score is 80,33 with percentage of passing KKM is 83,33%. The use of song in teaching English is effective to improve the students’ vocabulary understanding at class VIII A of MTs Ikhlas Jawilan.

Abstract

English is an International language that is use comunication between country, Becouse the important of English in Indonesia. Makes the curriculum in the country is obliged to follow the standard of international language.Thus many tool herefore there are lots of methods and media to learn English, especially in this technological era. There are so many interesting information and learning systems. Especially learning by using the online media application 'Hello English' will be very helpful in learning and memorizing vocabulary every day, There is always a message notification on this smart telephon. Making learning fun and not boring, In this application not only messages in words, but there are games, speaking, dictionaries and grammar in English.Result of the research show that using Media Aplication Online ‘Hello English’. Besed on the research of cycle I and cycle II that mean score in cycle I is 71,5 with percentage of passing KKM is 35%. In cycle II is 83 with percentage of passing KKM is 85%. So, Media Aplication Online ‘Helo English’ is effective and enjoyable to improve the students’ vocabulary achievement. the target of ClassroomAction Research (CAR) success, which above 24% students that could pass the KKM. Automatically, it can be said that the Classroom Action Research (CAR) is success and cycle could be stopped.
