Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini menganalisis rugi-rugi serat optik terhadap sistem komunikasi serat optik di PT. Telkom ARNET 1 Bandung Timur, menggunakan kabel serat optik multimode tipe G 655 C dan G 652 D. Berdasarkan hasil pengukuran menggunakan OTDR didapat total loss maksimum yang melebihi standarisasi 0,5 dB/km, terjadi pada ruas Ahmad Yani-Tegalega, kabel 24 core dengan nomor serat 1,2,5,6,7,9,11 dan ruas Ahmad Yani-Tegalega, kabel 48 core dengan nomor serat 35,37,38. Ruas Ahmad Yani-Dago total loss maksimum yang melebihi standarisasi 0,5 dB/km yaitu pada nomor serat 18. Daya terima minimum standarisasi adalah - 4 dBm untuk sumber cahaya laser. Dari hasil pengukuran didapat daya terima minimum untuk ruas Ahmad Yani-Lembong 1,4 dBm, Ahmad Yani Tegalega - 2,893 dBm, Ahmad Yani-Ujungberung 0,932 dBm, Ahmad Yani- Turangga 1,4 dBm, dan Ahmad Yani-Rancaekek -0,702 dBm. Kata kunci : serat optik, standarisasi loss ITU-T, daya terima minimum, OTDR ABSTRACT This reseach analyzing loss optical fiber to the optical fiber communication systems in PT. Telkom Arnet 1 Bandung Timur, using the multimode optical fiber cables, type G 655 C and G 652 D. Based OTDR measurement results, it was obtained the total loss exceeded the maximum standarization of 0.5 dB/ km that occurred on a segment Ahmad Yani-Tegalega, 24 core cable with fiber numbers 1,2,5,6,7,9,11. The segment of Ahmad Yani-Tegalega, 48 core cable with fiber numbers 35,37,38 and Ahmad Yani-Dago total loss exceeded the maximum standarization of 0.5 dB/km was the number of fiber 18. The minimum received power standarization was - 4 dBm for the laser light source. The obtained measurement results for the minimum received power segment Ahmad Yani-Lembong, Ahmad Yani-Tegalega, Ahmad Yani-Ujungberung, Ahmad Yani-Turangga and Ahmad Yani - Rancaekek were 1.4 dBm, -2.893 dBm, 0.932 dBm, 1.4 dBm and -0.702 dBm respectively. Abstract

ABSTRAK Dalam sistem komunikasi, salah satu media transmisi yang biasa ditemukan sehari-hari adalah transmisi niirkabel atau transmisi gelombang radio. Sistem yang dilirik karena sifatnya yang adaptif dan dapat menyesuaikan sesuai dengan kondisi saat itu adalah Adaptive Coded Modulation (ACM). Pada penelitian ini, ACM dibuat dalam sebuah program simulasi, menggunakan software Borland Delphi, yang bertujuan untuk membuat simulasi perencanaan Digital Adaptive Coded Modulation (ACM) pada link transmisi dengan curah hujan berbeda (20 mm/jam, 50 mm/jam dan 80 mm/jam), menggunakan tingkat modulasi tertinggi 64 QAM dan terendah 2 QAM, menghasilkan perubahan modulasi pada setiap kondisi cuaca dengan memperhitungkan acuan BER dijaga sebesar 10-6, serta link avaibility 99,99%. Pada saat curah hujan 20 mm/jam, sistem ACM masih mempertahankan level modulasi pada tingkat 64 QAM dengan bitrate yang lebih rendah yaitu 57,3 Mbps, kemudian saat curah hujan mencapai 50 mm/jam maka level modulasi akan turun menyesuaikan dengan kondisi redaman propagasi yang lebih besar ke tingkat modulasi 8 QAM dengan bit rate sebesar 25,3 Mbps. Saat curah hujan mencapai 80 mm/jam sistem ACM akan menurunkan level modulasi ke tingkat modulasi terendah 2 QAM dengan bit rate sebesar 9,6 Mbps, sehingga pada setiap kondisi apapun sistem ACM dapat memperhitungkan acuan BER dijaga sebesar 10-6, serta link avaibility 99,99%. ABSTRACT In communications system, one of the ordinary transmission media that can be found everyday is wireless or radio wave transmission. The system, which start to be peeped due to its character can be adaptive and also can accomodate as according to the condition in this time, is Adaptive Coded Modulation (ACM). In this research, ACM was realized in a simulation program, using Borland Delphi software, with a purpose to make simulation planning of Digital ACM at certain area with variant weathers (20 mm/hr, 50 mm/hr and 80 mm/hr), for the high and low step modulation use 64 QAM and 2 QAM respectively, which was ACM could change modulation for every situation, and BER and avaibility were maintained at 10-6 and 99.99% respectively. When the rainfall was 20 mm/hr, the ACM system was maintained for high step modulation of 64 QAM with the low bitrate at 57.3 Mbps. At the rainfall of 50 mm/hr, the level modulation would drop into lower step of 8 QAM with bitrate of 25.3 Mbps, and finally at rainfall of 80 mm/hr, as a bad condition, the level modulation dropped into the lowest step of 2 QAM with bitrate 9.6 Mbps, that in every ACM condition it could maintain BER and avaibility at 10-6 and 99.99% respectively.
