Abstract

This study aims to determine the contribution of parenting style to truant behavior in SMA PGRI I students in Padang City. The research design used is correlational study. The population in this study were students of class X and XI in SMA PGRI I Padang City as many as 280 students and a sample of 61 people selected using the purposive sampling method. The analysis of data used multiple regression used is the method of multiple regression analysis which is assisted by one of the SPSS 16.0 for windows software. The results of the study showed that there was no contribution of parenting parents to truant behavior in high school PGRI I students in Padang City with R2 = 0.468 and p = 0.759 (p> 0.05). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi pola asuh orang tua terhadap perilaku membolossiswa SMA PGRI I Kota Padang. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X dan XI di SMA PGRI I Kota Padang sebanyak 280 siswa dan sampel sebanyak 61 orang yang dipilih menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Teknis analisis data yang digunakan adalah metode analisis regresi bergandayang dibantu dengan salah satu perangkat lunak SPSS 16.0 for windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat kontribusi pola asuh orang tua terhadap perilaku membolos pada siswa SMA PGRI I Kota Padang dengan R2=0,468 dan p=0,759 (p>0,05).
