Abstract

One of the competencies required by a professional teacher is the ability to organize learning materials. To perform these tasks, teachers should have the skills of how to plan lessons according to the characteristics of the material as well as the characteristics of student learning, the school environment and surrounding communities. Then the search effort and application of appropriate learning models in order to enforce higher quality teaching and learning process. One of the methods that can create critical thinking skills of students in the learning PAI is a method of cooperative learning. Critical thinking is not the same as being critical. Be critical if inclined to express our response directly through a real attitude and action, without first considering/thinking about whether or not the response to the information that we get. While critical thinking is a mindset to look at a solution of the problems occurred. It is worth learning (cooperative learning) is an alternative model of innovative learning and can improve the quality of learning PAI, which in general can improve the quality of national education

Abstract

In the current era of globalization, inevitably that there have been many types and forms of learning media ranging from the simple to high-tech ones. The more complete media is used, the better the results are achieved. All educators and teachers are expected to choose the media that is good and is in accordance with the condition of students and subject matters in order to achieve the learning objectives, because the ability of teachers to choose the medium of education will determine the quality of teaching and learning processes. The use of instructional media in the learning process can also generate new desires and interests to encourage motivation and stimulation of learning activities and even bring a psychological impact on students. The use of instructional media at the stage of learning orientation will greatly help the effectiveness of the learning process and the delivery of messages and learning contents. Understandably that media is inseparable part of the learning process because it can arouse students' learning achievement and learning activities and expedite / help meet the learning objectives. One of the various learning media is the use of visual media.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) have served as an institutionproducing not only clerics or religious leaders, but also the nation's pious leadersand professionals engaged in a particular field and imbued with the spirit ofreligious morality as aspired by the national education. On account of thedevelopment of pesantren education system, students (santri) are required tohave a strong commitment to professionalism in carrying out their duties asMulism preachers. one is said to be a professional for inherently having a highdedicative attitude to his tasks, his commitment to process, working andcontinuing qualities, by always improving and updating his models or ways ofworking in accordance with the demands of his day. Pesantren education systemhas integrated elements between Islam, the Indonesianess and science. Suchintegrated education system is projected as an alternative to address the civilsociety demands. The santri professionalism is a commitment to study Islamicand general disciplines in pesantren in addition to mastering various disciplinesas life provision in the community later. So they are expectedly be capable offacing any challenges in this global era. On this stand, the santri professionalismshould always be improved as capital in upholding Islam in the midst of a rapidlygrowing and changing life.
