Abstract

This study aims to see the relationship between adversity intelligence and career adaptability of BNI employees of the Rengat branch. The independent variable in this study is adversity intelligence and the dependent variable is career adaptability. The measuring instrument used in this research is the adversity intelligence scale and the career adaptability scale. The sampling technique used in this study was saturated sampling with a total sample size of 35 employees. The validity test uses the Corrected Item-Total Correlation and the reliability test uses the Alpha Cronbach technique. The test results show the validity coefficient on the adversity intelligence scale ranges from 0.326 to 0.732, while the reliability coefficient is 0.915. The results of the validity coefficient on the career adaptability scale ranged from 0.349 to 0.831, while the reliability coefficient was 0.939. Based on the results of data analysis, the correlation coefficient is 0.368 with a significant level of correlation (p) = 0.030 (< 0,05). This means that there is a significant relationship with a positive direction between adversity intelligence and career adaptability of the BNI Rengat branch. So it can be interpreted that the hypothesis in this study is accepted. The effective contribution of the adversity intelligence variable with career adaptability is as much as 14%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between Job Demand with Performance at PT. X West Sumatra, Padang Area. The independent variable in this study is Job Demand and the dependent variable is Performance. The measuring instrument used in this research is the Job Demand scale and the Performance scale. The sampling technique in this study used a saturated sample technique. The sample in this study amounted to 77 employees at PT. X West Sumatra Padang Area. Test the validity and reliability in this study using the Alpha Cronbach technique. The results of the validity coefficient on the job demand scale ranged from 0.777 to a reliability coefficient of a = 0.940. While the results of the coefficient of validity on the performance scale between 0.308 to 0.781 with a reliability coefficient of a = 0.918. The results of the hypothesis test show that the correlation coefficient is -0.208 with a significant level of p = 0.009. This means that it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between job demand and performance. A negative value indicates that an employee who has a high job demand will have a low performance, and vice versa if an employee has a low job demand, the employee will have a high performance. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara Job Demand dengan Kinerja Pada PT. X Wilayah Sumatera Barat Area Padang. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah Job Demand dan variabel terikat adalah Kinerja. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah skala Job Demand dan skala Kinerja. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sampel jenuh. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 77 orang karyawan pada PT. X Wilayah Sumatera Barat Area Padang. Uji validitas dan reliabilitas pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik Alpha Cronbach. Hasil koefisien validitas pada skala job demand berkisar dari 0,777 sampai dengan koefisien reliabilitas sebesar a = 0,940. Sedangkan hasil koefisien validitas pada skala kinerja antara 0,308 sampai dengan 0,781 dengan koefisien reliabilitas sebesar a = 0,918. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan besarnya koefisien korelasi sebesar -0,208 dengan taraf sifnifikan p = 0,009. Artinya dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara job demand dengan kinerja. Nilai negatif menunjukkan bahwa karyawan yang mempunyai job demand yang tinggi, maka karyawan memiliki kinerja yang rendah, begitu juga sebaliknya apabila karyawan mempunyai job demand yang rendah, maka karyawan akan memiliki kinerja yang tinggi
