Abstract

The success of a leader in managing an organization is influenced by a variety of factors including the ability of the individual as well as the organizational culture and the style of leadership. Emotional intelligence or emotional quotient (EQ) is the ability of a person to receive, assess, manage, and control the his emotions and others surrounding. Organizational culture is a value system that is believed to have been understood, applied and developed on an ongoing basis by all members in an organization. Leadership style is the behavior of an individual who led the activity – activity of a group to one goal to be achieved together. The purpose of disresearch is to determine: (1) the relationship between the emotional intelligence and leadership’style (2) the relationship between organizational culture and leadership’s style (3) the relationship between emotional intelligence and cultural organizations simultaneously with the leadership’s style. This research was conducted at PT.Faber Castell Indonesia with 157 people of production supervision employees as respondents taken by random. This quantitative research techniques data analysis used regression and correlation, the hypothesis test. The results showed that: (1) there is a positive andsignificant relationship between emotional intelligence and leadership (2) there is a significant and positive relationship between organizational culture and leadership’s style (3) there is a positive relationship between simultaneously emotional intelligence and Cultural Organization with the leadership’s style of production supervision at PT.Faber Castell Indonesia.

Abstract

The efforts to reach company goals depends very much on the ability of its leaders in moving the Organization towards a predetermined. Several factors affect the improvement of work productivity of employees. Several factors affect the improvement of work productivity of employees. The purpose of this research was to know (1) the influence of labor motivation towards work productivity of employees, (2) the influence of job satisfaction of employee productivity, (3) the influence of the quality of work of the employee productivity (4) influence the effectiveness of the work of the employee work productivity (5) How far is the influence of motivation, satisfaction, quality and effectiveness of work simultaneously towards work productivity of employees. This research was conducted at PT PELNI, the moving on ocean freight services that give priority to the contribution of income for the State, employees, as well as play a role in environmental development as well as service to the community. The method used is quantitative, with a population of 789 and an employee of PT PELNI, and sample as many as 90 people random employees. Technique of data analysis using regression and correlation, and the hypothesis test. The results showed that: (1) there is a strong and significant positive relationship between motivation towards work productivity of employees of PT PELNI (2) there is a strong and significant positive relationship between employee satisfaction to productivity of PT PELNI (3) there is a strong and significant positive relationship between quality of work productivity of employees of PT PELNI (4) there is a strong and significant positive relationship between the effectiveness of work productivity of employees of PT PELNI (5) there is a strong and significant positive relationship simultaneously between motivation, satisfaction, quality of work, towards the effectiveness of employee productivity PT PELNI.

Abstract

Pengembangan tenaga kerja terdidik dan terlatih bertitik tolak pada dua hal yakni (1) kepentingan perusahaaan dan kepentingan tenaga kerja itu sendiri. Kepentingan perusahaan untuk mengadakan pengembangan tenaga kerja yang terlatih dan terdidik adalah meningkatkan efisiensi kerja. Kepentingan tenaga kerja yang bersangkutan adalah peningkatan kompetensi diri (core competency), melalui peningkatan komunikasi interpersonal, pemberian motivasi serta adanya kepemimpinan yang tepat. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui: (1) pengaruh kepemimpinan terhadap kinerja karyawan, (2) pengaruh motivasi terhadap kinerja karyawan, (3) pengaruh komunikasi interpersonal terhadap kinerja karyawan, (4) pengaruh kepemimpinan, motivasi dan komunikasi interpersonal secara simultan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada PT. Panen Tour, yang bergerak pada jasa travel dan biro perjalanan wisata yang mengutamakan kepuasan pelanggan dengan menyediakan jasa travel yang terbaik dan terpercaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif, dengan populasi karyawan sebanyak 185 orang karyawan pada Panen Tour, jumlah sampel sebanyak 65 orang secara random. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi, regresi serta uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat hubungan positif kuat dan signifikan antara kepemimpinan terhadap kinerja karyawan pada biro perjalanan wisata “Panen Tour”, (2) terdapat hubungan positif kuat dan signifikan antara motivasi terhadap kinerja karyawan pada biro perjalanan wisata "Panen Tour", (3) terdapat hubungan positif kuat dan signifikan antara komunikasi interpersonal terhadap kinerja karyawan pada biro perjalanan wisata "Panen Tour", (4) terdapat hubungan positif kuat dan signifikan secara simultan antara kepemimpinan, motivasi dan komunikasi interpersonal terhadap kinerja karyawan pada biro perjalanan wisata "Panen Tour".

Abstract

Abstraks:       Industri Perbankan Indonesia mengalami masa surut pada pertengahan tahun 1997 yang disebabkan oleh depresiasi nilai rupiah terhadap nilai Dollar Amerika Serikat yang diikuti pula oleh krisis kepercayaan masyarakat, antara lain ditandai dengan penarikan uang tunai secara besar-besaran (rush). Hal ini  berakibat pada semakin minimnya likuiditas yang dimiliki oleh bank-bank di Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) hubungan dan pengaruh antara tingkat suku bunga deposito, nilai investasi (PMA) terhadap nilai kurs dollar Amerika sebelum krisis moneter (2) hubungan dan pengaruh antara tingkat suku bunga deposito, nilai investasi (PMA) setelah krisis moneter. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode asosiatif. Data yang diambil berasal dari laporan tahunan Bank Indonesia, tahun penelitian adalah periode sebelum krisis moneter Oktober 1994 s/d Agustus 1997 dan setelah krisis moneter September 1997 s/d Juli 2000. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat hubungan positif signifikan antara tingkat suku bunga deposito, nilai investasi (PMA) terhadap kurs US $ sebelum krisis moneter (2) terdapat hubungan positif signifikan antara tingkat suku bunga deposito, investasi (PMA) terhadap kurs US $ setelah krisis moneter. Kata kunci: korelasi, regresi, kurs US $, suku bunga deposito, nilai investasi (PMA), krisis moneter.  Abstract:    Indonesia's banking industry experienced a period of receding in mid-1997 which was caused by the depreciation of the value of the rupiah against the Dollar value of the United States was followed by a crisis of public confidence, among others, marked by massive cash withdrawals (rush). This resulted in a lack of liquidity that are owned by banks in Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to know the: (1) the relationship and influence between the interest rates of deposits, the value of the investment (PMA) against the value of the American dollar exchange rate before the monetary crisis (2) relationships and influence between the interest rates of deposits, the value of the investment (PMA) after the monetary crisis. This research uses the associative method. Data derived from the annual reports of the Bank Indonesia, years of research was a period before the monetary crisis of October 1994 until August 1997 and after the monetary crisis of September 1997 until July 2000. The results of the analysis show that (1) there was a significant positive relationship between the level of interest rates on deposits, the value of the investment (PMA) against US $ exchange rate before the monetary crisis (2) there was a significant positive relationship between the interest rates of deposits, investments (PMA) against US $ exchange rate after the monetary crisis. Key words: correlation, regression, exchange rate, interest rate deposit, value investment, crisis monetary.
