Abstract

Breakfast habits are an important factor in fulfilling nutrition in the morning in order to support health and also support student achievement in school. Even so, many of the children go to school without breakfast. The purpose of this study was to assess the relationship between breakfast habits and student achievement in class XII science. This study used a cross sectional study design from December 2019 to January 2020. A 24-hour Food Recall questionnaire was used to determine breakfast habits. Other factors such as knowledge of nutrition, rest patterns, physical activity and gender were also measured using a questionnaire to support the relationship between variables. Assessment of learning achievement is used by taking the average value of the latest daily test scores with core subjects. The selected sample size is 246 students which are divided into 2 schools. Data were analyzed by computer software. Of the 246 respondents who were divided into 2 schools, there was a significant relationship between breakfast and learning achievement with p < 0.05 for the two schools. The multivariate results of SMA Negeri 8 Tangerang Selatan showed the most dominant physical activity variable with PR (Prevalence Risk) 17,196 and SMA Negeri 4 Tangerang Selatan showed the same result, namely the variable physical activity was the most dominant among other variables with a PR (Prevalence Risk) value of 5,482. Consumption of breakfast that is not regular or not having breakfast has an influence on brain performance in the learning process at school. One of the important factors influencing physical activity is the number of calories for breakfast, nutritional knowledge, rest patterns and gender. Students are expected to practice a healthy breakfast eating pattern with the recommendation of the Nutrition Adequacy Rate (RDA) and regulate physical activity so as not to get tired during school hours.

Abstract

Usaha berdasarkan bakat dan keahlian kejuruan yang dimiliki maupun berdasarkan tren itu sangat penting, terutama dibidang kesehatan. Untuk menemukan peluang usaha yang baik kita senantiasa wajib mencari informasi dari manapun sehingga mengetahui apa yang dibutuhkan masyarakat dan di minati/diinginkan masyarakat terutama dalam bidang kesehatan. Dampak dari edukasi kiat-kiat sukses kewirausahaan siswa bisa menjadi entrepreneur di bidang kesehatan bahkan membuka peluang untuk memperbanyak pekerjaan. Manfaat untuk menumbuhkan jiwa dan memunculkan entrepreneur di bidang kesehatan.  Metode dengan memberikan penyuluhan dan memberikan contoh kewirausahaan dengan memeberikan materi cara menumbuhkan jiwa entrepreneur, strategi memulai entrepreneur dan kiat sukses menjadi entrepreneur di bidang kesehatan. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah kegiatan penyuluhan berjalan dengan baik dan peserta aktif mengikuti kegiatan penyuluhan dan pelatihan sampai selesai. Penyuluhan dilakukan dengan interaktif antara narasumber dengan peserta. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat di SMK Kesehatan Letris Indonesia dapat berjalan dengan baik dan lancar. Peserta antusias dan dapat bekerjasama dengan baik.

Abstract

Premarital sexual behavior, especially in adolescents, is very worrying about the impact of venereal disease, HIV/AIDS and pregnancy out of wedlock. This study aims to determine the factors associated with Premarital Sexual Behavior in Adolescent Senior High School 1 Kelam Permai, Sintang Regency, West Kalimantan Province. The design of this study used quantitative analytic with cross-sectional sectional method completed qualitatively with respondents were class X students, and XI from SMAN 1 Kelam Permai a total of 170 respondents. Data analysis used uni variate analysis and bivariate analysis. The results showed a significant relationship between premarital sexual behavior with knowledge p-value: 0.001 and OR value of 3.085, p-value attitude: 0.001 and OR value of 5.797, religious observance of p-value: 0,000 and OR value of 8.036, self-control p-value  : 0.002 and an OR value of 6.077 and access to pornographic media p-value: 0.001 and an OR value of 7.635. Research Indicated by informers includes the lack of knowledge of premarital sexual behavor, supportive neighborhoods and local habits, the abuse of media by students to obtain pornographic content. Then approaches such as counseling and seminars on the dangers of sex and sexual violence need to be done.

Abstract

Gout purine metabolism disorder if it does not last normally, there will be a process of accumulation of crystals of uric acid in the joints and cause pain. This condition is commonly found in the elderly due to the slow rate of metabolism of the body. The prevalence of gout or gout based on diagnosis of health workers in Indonesia (7.3%) and based on the diagnosis or symptoms (24.7%). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of pineapple juice on reducing uric acid levels in the elderly. This research design uses a quasi-experimental with one group pretest- posttest without control. The population in this study was 22 elderly with 18 samples who’s experienced with high level of uric acid. This study used sampling technique with was purposive sampling. The test results of this study found that the average before pineapple juice intervention was 8,244 mg/dl, after pineapple juice intervention was 6,628 mg/dl, and the final results of the paired T test showed that the p value was 0.000 (α≤ 0.05) so it could be concluded that there was an effect of giving pineapple juice on reducing uric acid levels in the elderly. This means that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. From the results of this study, it is hoped that it can be considered as one of the nursing care interventions by providing education in reducing uric acid levels as a source of useful information for the community
