Abstract

Mothers who give birth with SC are 3 times more likely to experience obstacles in the breastfeeding process than normal births. WHO establishes a 5-15% SC delivery indicator for each country, if it does not match the indications SC surgery can increase the risk of morbidity and mortality in the mother and baby. One of the efforts to stimulate the hormone prolactin and oxytociny which is very instrumental in the smoothness of ASI is back massage. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of back massage on the smoothness of breast milk in postpartum mothers with SC. This study was a quasi-experimental method with a pretest and posttest without control group design. The sample in this study were 11 patients with accidental sampling technique. An instrument used is the smoothness of ASI queationnaire sheet. The results of this study there before do back massage to smoothness of ASI. were (100%) respondents experiencing non-smooth breastfeeding and after do back massage to smoothness of ASI. were (88.1%) respondents experienced smooth breastfeeding, the result of this study was wicoxon signed rank test obtained p value of 0.004 (<0.05). The conclusion of this study, that there was an effect of back massage on the smoothness of breast milk in postpartum mothers with SC. It was suggested Ibu-ibu yang melahirkan dengan SC beresiko 3 kali lebih besar untuk mengalami hambatan dalam proses menyusui dibandingkan lahir normal. WHO menetapkan indikator persalinan SC 5-15% untuk setiap negara, jika tidak sesuai indikasi operasi SC dapat meningkatkan resiko morbiditas dan mortalitas pada ibu dan bayi. Salah satu usaha untuk merangsang hormon prolaktin dan oksitosinyang sangat berperan dalam kelancaran ASI adalah massage punggung. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh massage punggung terhadap kelancaran ASI pada ibu postpartum dengan SC. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi-experimental dengan rancangan pretest dan posttest without control group design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah11 pasien dengan teknik pengambilan sampelaccidental sampling. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini yaitu kuesioner kelancaran ASI. Hasil penelitian ini sebelum dilakukan massage punggung responden yang mengalami ASI tidak lancar sebanyak (100%) dan setelah dilakukan massage punggung responden ysng mengalami ASI lancar sebanyak (81,8%). Hasil uji wicoxon signed rank test didapatkan nilai P value 0,004(<0,05) H0 ditolak Ha diterima. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah ada pengaruh massage punggung terhadap kelancaran ASI pada ibu postpartum dengan SC. Disarankan kepada responden untuk rutin melakukan massage punggung untuk meningkatkan kelancaran ASI.

One of the efforts to stimulate prolactin and oxytocin hormones that play a role in the smoothness of breast milk is back massage.Objective: to determine the effect of back massage on breast milk fluency in postpartum mothers with SC.Methods: This study used quasi-experimental method with pretest and posttest without control group design. The samples in this study were 11 patients with accidental sampling technique. The instrument in this study was a breast milk fluency questionnaire.Results: before the back massage, the respondents who experienced non-fluent breast milk were (100%) and after the back massage, the respondents who experienced fluent breast milk were (81.8%). The results of the Wicoxon signed rank test obtained a P value of 0.004 (<0.05) H0 rejected Ha accepted.Conclusion: there is an effect of back massage on breast milk fluency in postpartum mothers with SC. It is recommended for respondents to routinely do back massage to increase breast milk fluency.
