Abstract

The background of this research is the high intensity of watching YouTube for early childhood in PAUD Mekar Jaya II, Lunang District, resulting in poor children's social-emotional development. This study aims to (1) describe the intensity of watching YouTube for early childhood at PAUD Mekar Jaya II, Lunang District. (2) Describe the emotional social development of early childhood in PAUD Mekar Jaya II, Lunang District. (3) Seeing that there is no relationship between the intensity of watching YouTube and the emotional social development of early childhood in PAUD Mekar Jaya II, Lunang District. This research is a quantitative type of correlational research that aims to examine the relationship between the independent and dependent variables. The population of this study amounted to 60 children. The samples taken in this study were 45 people/respondents or as much as 75%. The technique used in data collection was in the form of a data collector in the form of a written terminal (questionnaire) and a data collection tool in the form of a list of data collectors. Data analysis techniques use the percentage formula and data processing uses the rank product moment formula. The results of this study prove that: (1) The description of the intensity of watching YouTube for young children in PAUD Mekar Jaya II, Lunang District, is focused on High. (2) The description of the social emotional development of early childhood in PAUD Mekar Jaya II, Lunang District, is in the poor category. (3) There is a significant relationship between the intensity of watching YouTube and the emotional social development of early childhood at PAUD Mekar Jaya II, Lunang District. It is hoped that future researchers can examine new variables so that they can complement and increase the variables in the study.Keywords: Youtube Watching Intensity, Social Emotional Development

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low level of discipline of Scout members when participating in after-school activities Scouting activities at SMPN 7 Padang. The purpose of this study was to obtain a description of the motivation of Scout members participating in Scout extracurricular activities, a description of the discipline of Scout members participating in Scout extracurricular activities, and a description of the discipline of Scout members participating in Scout extracurricular activities. Just that. extracurricular activities to see the relationship between motivation and discipline when attending SMPN 7 Padang. This type of research is quantitative and uses a correlational approach. The population of this study amounted to 95 students, of all eighth-grade students of SMPN 7 Padang are still registered as after-school Scout members. Sampling was done by using cluster random sampling technique. The data collection method used a questionnaire that was distributed directly. About the data analysis method using the moment formula. As a result, Scout members who participate in Scout extracurricular activities have low discipline, Scout members who participate in Scout extracurricular activities have very high motivation, and there is a relationship between Scout extracurricular motivation in SMPN 7 Padang.Keywords: motivation to follow, discipline of scout members, scout extracurricular

Abstract

The rapid development of technology has caused several impacts, both positive and negative. This is the background of this research, namely the high level of addiction to playing online games among teenagers and the low parenting style of parents in Rantau Ketaka, Kecamatan Lunang, Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. This study aims to see whether there is a relationship between arenting patterns and addiction to playing online games in adolescents.The research method used is correlational quantitative. In this study, the data sources were teenagers in Rantau Ketaka Village, Lunang District, Pesisir Selatan Regency, amounting to 33 people. The sample in this study amounted to 25 adolescents using purposive random sampling technique. The type of data in this study is data about the form of parenting and the level of addiction to playing online games in adolescents in Rantau Ketaka Village, Kecamatan Lunang, Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. This study uses a questionnaire for data collection by using data analysis techniques percentage and rank spearmen.The results showed that there was a significant relationship between parenting and addiction to playing online games in adolescents in Rantau Ketaka Village, Lunang District, Pesisir Selatan Regency. Suggestions in this research are highly expected. It is hoped that parents in Rantau Ketaka Village can apply appropriate parenting to their children to avoid addicted behavior playing online games in teenagers.Keywords: parenting, addiction, online games
