Abstract

Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) can be a locus of change concerning technology and journalism. Values and traditions in pesantren are a challenge in the practice of internalising a new culture. This study aims to formulate a pattern of internalisation in journalistic literacy culture based on local wisdom. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a constructivism paradigm. Data collection techniques used in-depth interviews, observations, and literature reviews. The purposive sampling technique resulted in three informants related to journalistic activities at Darul Ulum Islamic Boarding School Banyuanyar Pamekasan. The methods of data analysis used are based on Miles and Huberman. The study results showed that the internalisation of literacy culture used traditional methods by extracting the value of journalistic literacy and applying it to make Islamic religious students (santri) cadres maintain journalistic values. There is also a categorisation of journalistic literacy skills. The internalisation of journalistic literacy culture started from developing wall magazines, Ikhwan magazines, online journalism forums, namely Forum Lingkar Pena (FLP), journalistic training, and alumni networks. Meanwhile, the study's recommendation is to develop a pattern of internalisation for journalistic literacy culture based on local values (local wisdom).

Abstract

The role of information and communication technology is no less important than human food and clothing needs. A technology is essentially created to make human life easier and more comfortable. Through communication, humans build themselves and their environment, and through communication, human civilization becomes dynamic. This research method is descriptive qualitative with purposive sampling technique in determining five informants. Data collection techniques by observation, documentation and interviews and using data analysis Miles and Huberman. The existence of technology at that time helped the government's communication process, facilitated access to information, shortened time and cut costs. The development of information and communication technology is progressing very rapidly at this time so that it triggers changes in Indonesia's communication system. In conveying information or messages to other communities in urban and rural areas, of course, it was still very limited in the past, technology with all-improvement was very difficult to obtain information or communicate. Along with developments, today's communication system changes everything to be very easy and sophisticated.Keywords: Development of Technology, Information, Communication Systems

Abstract

This research aims to create a model for the development of halal tourism destinations based on the perspectives of the actors of the Sapi Sonok culture in Pamekasan, Madura. The challenge for tourism development after the pandemic is forming a concept that adheres to local wisdom. Cultural tradition can inspire the development of tourism destinations without exploiting the values of the local residents. The phenomenological approach was employed through an interpretive paradigm, and four informants were recruited through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, documentation, and observation. Meanwhile, analysis techniques use bracket; intuitive; analysis; and description. The research reveals, first, the artistic philosophy of the actors forms social cohesion even though there is competition within it. The actors’ philosophy includes beauty contests and the beauty of animals; tancek-guyup, harmony, and gratitude as well as social cohesion. Second, harmonious forms of cultural identity are adapted to local values. Halal tourism communication methods include observation, accessibility, amenities, and promotion of business actors. Finally, the right model is the one to develop halal tourism destinations based on the cultural actors of the Madurese Sapi Sonok culture which refers to the strength of the internal community and external groups.

Abstract

This study investigates the correlation between the intensity of communication network usage and lifestyle patterns among the coastal community of Mengare, Bungah, Gresik. Using a quantitative approach with an explanatory survey method, data were collected from 20 respondents through structured questionnaires. The results show that daily use of the internet, social media, and messaging apps is prevalent. Most respondents use digital media for information, entertainment, and economic activities. The study found a significant correlation between communication network usage and lifestyle changes, including consumption behavior, leisure activities, social interaction, and digital economic aspirations.

Abstract

The internal communication network of student organizations plays a strategic role in supporting the success of programs while strengthening solidarity among members. This study examines the communication network patterns within the Gelora Ramadhan program committee of the Campus Ambassador of Universitas Trunojoyo Madura (UTM) and their contribution to organizational internal solidarity. A quantitative descriptive method with a Social Network Analysis (SNA) approach was employed, involving 24 committee members as the unit of analysis. Data were collected through interviews and dichotomous-scale sociometric questionnaires, subsequently processed using UCINET VI software and visualized through NetDraw. The findings reveal that the committee's communication network forms a centralized pattern, with the Person-in-Charge and the Executive Chair serving as dominant actors (degree centrality = 1.000; betweenness = 29.447). Division coordinators function as secondary brokers bridging communication between the Executive Board and operational members. An open and egalitarian communication pattern, supported by a collective deliberation system and multi-platform digital media, effectively reinforces both intra-division and inter-division solidarity simultaneously. These findings affirm that the effectiveness of internal communication depends not solely on hierarchical structure, but on the quality of relationships and the openness of information channels within the organization.

Abstract

Berbagai isu sosial dan politik di Indonesia memicu keresahan di masyarakat, terutama terkait ketidakpuasan terhadap kondisi negara dan keinginan untuk mencari peluang lebih baik di luar negeri. Salah satu bentuk ekspresi keresahan tersebut muncul melalui media sosial, di mana tagar #KaburAjaDulu di platform X (dahulu Twitter) menjadi simbol aspirasi masyarakat untuk pergi meninggalkan Indonesia demi masa depan lebih baik. Namun hingga saat ini, belum banyak studi yang secara mendalam mengungkap bagaimana pola interaksi dan struktur jaringan komunikasi terbentuk di balik percakapan ini, siapa aktor-aktor sentralnya, serta bagaimana peran mereka dalam penyebaran pesan dan aspirasi publik. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis struktur tagar #KaburAjaDulu pada platform X (dulunya Twitter) yang mencerminkan keresahan masyarakat ditengah isu social politik di Indonesia. Tagar ini menjadi sarana masyarakat untuk mengungkapkan keinginan mereka untuk pergi dari Indonesia untuk masa depan yang lebih baik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Sosial Network Analysis (SNA), Penelitian ini mengamati pola interaksi antar pengguna serta mengidentifikasi actor sentral dan hubungan antar simbuol jaringan. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif pada unggahan yang menggunakan tagar tersebut, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan perangkat lunak UCINET. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa jaringan komunikasi ini bersifat tidak terpusat, namun memiliki beberapa aktor dominan seperti @kkbook00, @Banyulangit_1, dan @jackboiys yang memainkan peran penting dalam penyebaran informasi. Struktur jaringan menunjukkan pola radial dengan beberapa simpul sebagai pusat penghubung serta munculnya klik-klik kecil sebagai penguat komunikasi lokal. Fenomena ini menunjukkan bahwa media sosial tidak hanya sebagai ruang hiburan, namun juga wadah solidaritas dan penyampaian aspirasi kolektif digital.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menyoroti bagaimana interaksi dan keterhubungan dalam kelompok sebaya (peer group) dapat memengaruhi perilaku menyimpang, khususnya dalam konteks penggunaan aplikasi judi online. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh peer group terhadap partisipasi mahasiswa dalam aplikasi judi online. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode analisis jaringan sosial (Social Network Analysis/SNA), penelitian ini melibatkan 15 responden mahasiswa aktif yang terhubung dalam jaringan komunikasi informal mengenai topik judi online. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan perangkat lunak UCINET dan NetDraw. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktor-aktor seperti Raiz, Fahrul, dan Bondan memiliki nilai Outdegree tertinggi, yang berarti mereka aktif menyebarkan informasi dalam jaringan. Sementara itu, Ega dan Denis menonjol dalam Indegree, sebagai penerima utama komunikasi. Khoirul menempati posisi sentral dalam Betweenness Centrality, sebagai penghubung antar kelompok dalam jaringan. Struktur jaringan menunjukkan tingkat Density sebesar 48.4%, yang mencerminkan keterhubungan dan intensitas komunikasi tinggi di antara mahasiswa. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa jaringan peer group memainkan peran penting dalam membentuk perilaku dan partisipasi mahasiswa terhadap aplikasi judi online. Strategi pencegahan perilaku menyimpang ini dapat difokuskan pada aktor-aktor kunci yang berada di posisi strategis dalam jaringan.

Abstract

The PKK women's group plays a crucial role in implementing environmental sustainability programs. However, the success of these programs heavily relies on the communication network established among its members. This study aims to analyze the form of communication network formed within the PKK women's group in environmental sustainability programs and to identify the actors occupying central positions in the communication network, focusing on elements such as Degree Centrality, Betweenness Centrality, and Closeness Centrality. This study employs a descriptive quantitative approach involving 15 respondents who are members of the PKK women's group. Data collection techniques include questionnaires containing questions about the effectiveness of communication networks among PKK women's group members in implementing environmental sustainability programs. Additionally, the researcher collects data through observation to examine the communication patterns among members and administrators, providing insights into the dynamics within the group. The analysis technique used is Social Network Analysis (SNA) with the assistance of UCINET software.
