Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis  pemahaman konsep peserta didik kelas XI IPA 3 SMA Negeri 9 Bone pada materi asam basa. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI IPA 3 yang berjumlah 12 peserta didik. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes diagnostik three tier multiple choice yang terdiri dari 20 butir soal. Instrumen ini telah divalidasi ahli dan divalidasi item dengan nilai reliabilitas tingkat 1 (Pilihan jawaban) 0,8100 dan  tingkat 2 (Pilihan alasan)  0,8733 termasuk kategori sangat tinggi. Hasil penelitian diperoleh persentase peserta didik yang paham konsep pada materi asam basa sebesar 17.91%, miskonsepsi sebesar 62,65%, dan tidak paham konsep sebesar 19,42%. Dengan demikian pemahaman konsep peserta didik pada materi asam basa dikategorikan sangat kurang berdasarkan kriteria pendeskripsian tingkat pemahaman konsep yaitu 0% sampai dengan 20%.Kata kunci: pemahaman konsep, miskonsepsi, tidak paham konsep, three tier multiple choice, asam basa ABSTRACTThis research held to analyze the understanding concept students of class XI IPA in SMAN 9 Bone on acid based subject matter. The subjects in this research were students of XI IPA 3 class that consisted of 12 students. The instrument of this research was Three Tier Multiple Choice test with items 20. This instrument has been validated by experts and validated items with a tier 1 (Multiple choice) reliability is 0.8100 and a tier 2 (Reasoning choose the answer) is 0.8733 including a very high category. The result of this study shows that the percentage of students who understood the concept on acid based subject matter is 17.91%, misconception is 62.65%, and do not understand the concept is 19.42%. Level of concept understanding of students on acid based subject matter is category as very lacking based on the criteria for description of the concept understanding level, is 0% to 20%.Keywords: understand the concept, misconception, do not understand the concept, three tier multiple choice, acid-base
