Abstract

Students’ bullying characteristics phenomena has become a concern because educational institution where educative individuals are being train has in fact become a place of bullying. Bullying is an act of hurting someone done by an individual or group. Bullying is not limited to a community or educational institutional, such as a university, as a whole, but it happened in a narrower area that is related to a campus – dormitory. Dormitory, a place conducive for learning is a social laboratory, with an educative, social, moral and regeneration function. Based on the statistical data of bullying cases of university A, released by the office of the student affairs in 2008, it was found out that there are 1 or 2 cases every semester. Bullies usually consist of 1 to 8 students.To know the types of bullying, factors and affects that causes the act on the victims and dormitory community, and efforts of prevention. A qualitative research was done to dig deep into the real picture of bullying. An interview and discussions were done toward 14 reseach subject. Sources and methodology triangular were done to validate the data. Data analysis was done using the open coding steps. Bullying causes factors in university A is the same in general that is seniority factor, imitating the past experiences. Seniors expect themselves to be honored and problem occurred when juniors dishonored them. Bullies bullied because they were once victims, therefore bullying is somehow done as an act of revenge. Bullying acts occurred in dormitory of university A in Bandung. Anti-bullying systems designed by the university are: Religious understanding development, religious teaching implementation, uplifting moral values. Others things done are improving students’ controlling system by the dormitory deans and monitors (dormitory workers). Keywords: bullying, dormitory, students

Abstract

Humans have fallen into a slump of sin resulting in extraordinary effects in various aspects so that happiness and prosperity are difficult to obtain. If sin is allowed to continue to run rampant then all humans will perish as a result of sin. God provides a solution to get out of sin, which is to come to Jesus Christ. The problem is that not everyone is aware of their sinfulness which leads to destruction, for this reason evangelism is needed to win their souls to salvation. And the best method of evangelism is the method practiced by Jesus Christ. The purpose of this research is for every follower of Jesus to understand his responsibility for the mission of salvation and know a good method of evangelism, by reconstructing the evangelism method in John 4:1-42 based on what Ellen White wrote about Jesus' evangelism method. This research method uses qualitative methods through a review of literature studies. Evangelism is the Great Commission that Jesus conveyed to His disciples and people before ascending to heaven. Evangelism is the responsibility of every Christian, to bring everyone to Christ. Evangelism is the mission of salvation that Jesus declared to lead people to receive His grace.

Abstract

Tujuan kajian studi literatur ini adalah untuk menganalisis kepemimpinan pendeta gereja dalam pelayanan interpersonal anggota jemaat. Systematic Literature Review (SLR) adalah metode penelitian yang dipilih dalam penelitian ini untuk mengenali, menelaah, serta mengevaluasi literatur terkait kepempimpinan pendeta dan keefektifan pelayanan interpersonal anggota jemaat. Peneliti melakukan pencarian literatur menggunakan Google Scholar dengan menggunakan istilah kunci atau frasa tertentu dan mengaplikasikan kriteria inklusi untuk memilih literatur yang relevan. Dari pencarian ini, ditemukan 8 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria tersebut. Data dari artikel-artikel tersebut dikumpulkan dan dievaluasi secara mendalam, terutama pada bagian temuan penelitian. Hasil analisis artikel bahwa kepemimpinan pendeta memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam membentuk keefektifan pelayanan interpersonal di antara anggota jemaat. Pendeta yang memiliki karakteristik kepemimpinan rohani, empati, dan keterampilan komunikasi yang baik cenderung mampu memengaruhi positif kualitas pelayanan interpersonal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi peran gereja dalam melindungi dan memberikan dukungan kepada anak-anak yatim piatu, serta meningkatkan kesadaran umat akan keberadaan mereka.Penelitian ini menyoroti pesan Alkitab tentang pentingnya mengasihi dan membela orang-orang yang lemah, termasuk anak yatim piatu. Dalam pemahaman ini, gereja diharapkan menjadi agen penting dalam memberikan perhatian dan dukungan kepada mereka yang membutuhkan, seperti yang dinyatakan dalam Keluaran 22:22 dan kisah para nabi yang mengecam ketidakadilan sosial. Dengan menjalankan peran diakonia transformatif, gereja dapat memberdayakan mereka secara holistik, mencerminkan prinsip kasih dan keadilan Allah yang memerhatikan orang-orang yang lemah dan terpinggirkan.Kata kunci :

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of early baptism on church faithfulness in the Seventh-day Adventist Church, especially in the Moria Hill Congregation, with reference to Mark 16:16. The research method used is a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with congregation members who have experienced baptism, as well as analysis of Scripture texts and related literature. The results showed that baptism too early can negatively impact faithfulness in the church, as in some cases, individuals who are baptized too soon may not have fully understood their commitment to their faith. The implication of this finding is the importance of a careful approach in the baptismal process, by providing a deep understanding of faith commitment before one is baptized. This research is expected to contribute to the development of more effective and sustainable baptismal practices in the context of the Seventh-day Adventist church

Abstract

The ability of creative thinking is one of the important mathematical skills, but fromthe results of previous research indicates the low ability of students' mathematical creativethinking. One of the factors causing the low ability of students' mathematical creative thinkingbecause students who are less active in expressing ideas creatively in solving problems,sparked his ideas, and detailed the problem. Therefore, it is needed a learning model that canaccelerate students' activeness in solving math problems. The author conducted research onthe application of Search, Solve, Create and Share (SSCS) model and Problem CenteredLearning (PCL) model to help improve students' mathematical creative thinking ability. Datacollection techniques use test instruments to measure student learning outcomes. The resultsof this study indicate that: (1) students' creative thinking ability using Search, Solve, Createand Share (SSCS) model is in high category, while PCL model is in moderate category, (2)there is a significant difference between improvement the ability of mathematical creativethinking between students who obtained the Search, Solve, Create and Share (SSCS) modeland students who obtained the PCL model, and (3) the students' response to Search, Solve,Create and Share (SSCS) models and PCL entered into " like ".

Abstract

ABSTRAK Stres pada saat ini menjadi bagian yang tidak terpisahkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Demikian halnya tidak luput dari kehidupan remaja dalam hal ini adalah mahasiwa yang sedang menempuh pendidikan. Mahasiswa yang mengalami stres berkepanjangan akan memengaruhi perkembangan oleh karena krisis pendewasaan yang terjadi. Oleh sebab itu diperlukan daya tanggulang untuk menghadapi stres. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk medapatkan gambaran daya tanggulang stres pada mahasiswa tahun kedua yang sedang menjalankan pendidikannya. Pada penelitian ini digunakan jenis kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Variabel yang diteliti adalah gambaran daya tanggulang stres. Penelitian ini melibatkan partisipasi dari 80 responden. Populasi yang berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa tahun kedua di Universitas Advent Indonesia. Tehnik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Hasil dengan persentase terbesar (41%) untuk menggunakan strategi, (37%) untuk penyelesaian masalah. Dari penelitian ini dideskripsikan tentang daya tanggulang mahasiswa terhadap stres. Kisi-kisi pernyataan yang telah dirumpunkan bahwa mahasiswa sering memiliki daya tanggulang ketika menghadapi stres dalam kehidupannya. Artinya bahwa acapkali atau mahasiswa kerap menggunakan kemampuan untuk menyelesaikan masalah. Kata sering merujuk kepada keadaan dimana mahasiswa berkali-kali menggunakan daya tanggulang dalam menyelesaikan masalah. Gambaran daya tanggulang pada mahasiswa tahun kedua di Universitas Advent Indonesia bahwa mahasiswa sering memiliki daya tanggulang ketika menghadapi stres dalam kehidupannya. Artinya bahwa acapkali atau mahasiswa kerap menggunakan kemampuan untuk menyelesaikan masalah.  Saran yang dapat diberikan yaitu: 1) bagi mahasiswa hendaknya tetap memiliki daya tanggulang dalam menghadapi stres. 2) selalu menggunakan strategi dalam menghadapi stres. 3) bagi peneliti selanjutnya agar hasil penelitian ini menjadi acuan untuk penelitian lebih lanjut tentang strategi dan daya tanggulang stres terhadap prestasi akademik. Kata Kunci: Daya Tanggulang, Stres, Mahasiswa  ABSTRACT Stress has now become an inseparable part of life. Likewise, stress cannot be missed from the lives of teenagers, in this research students who are currently studying. Students who experience prolonged stress will affect their development because of the maturation crisis that occurs. Therefore, resilience is needed to deal with stress. This study aims to obtain an overview of the stress coping abilities of second year students who are currently pursuing their education. This research used a quantitative typr using descriptive methods. The variable studied is a description of stress coping capacity. This research involved the participation of 80 respondents. The population participating in this research were second year students at Universitas Advent Indonesia. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Result with the largest percentage (41%) for using strategies, (37%) for problem solving. This research describes students’ ability to cope with stress. The grid of statements that have been summarized is that students often have the ability to cope when facing stress in their lives. This means that students often use their abilities to solve problems. The word often refers to a situation where students repeatedly use their coping skills to solve problems. The description of the resilience is that students often have the capacity to cope when facing stress in their lives. This means that students often use their abilities to solve problems. Suggestions that can be given are: 1) students should still have the ability to cope with stress, 2) always use strategies in dealing with stress, 3) for future researchers so that the results of this research can become a reference for further on strategies and stress management on academic achievement. Keywords: Problem Solving, Stress, Students
