Abstract

Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVT) is a rare cause of stroke, a life-threatening disorder that occurs in approximately 0,5-1% of all stroke incidents. Various clinical presentations, risk factors, and neuroimaging findings of this disease may cause a delay in the early diagnosis and treatment of CVT. We discuss a case of a 34-year-old female who was admitted to the emergency room (ER) with the onset of a generalized tonic-clonic seizure with a progressive headache in the occipitotemporal region. Based on head CT, there was multiple hyperdense and cerebral venous infarction in the posterior left parietal lobe. D-dimer evaluation, there was an increasing level of D-dimer (>10.000 ng/mL). The patient was treated with the primary therapy heparin. After 15 days of being hospitalized, the patient was discharged without any sequelae. Keywords: CVT, heparin, stroke

The sample of this research was 18 students of medical student, University of Jember, class of 2018 and 2019. Samples were taken using the technique purposive sampling. Data were analyzed univariately  and bivariately using testwilcoxon signed rank test and carried out the normality test using shapiro wilk Results: The results of the univariate analysis showed changes mean sleep quality pretest and posttest. Before listening to murottal Al-Quran have mean 8.16 and after listening to the Al-Quran to 3.66. The result of bivariate analysis is test wilcoxon signed rank test value is obtained p-value= 0.000 indicates that there is a significant difference between the provision of murottal Al-Quran and the sleep quality of medical students, University of Jember Conclusion :  The conclusion of this study is that there is an effect of murottal AlQuran on improving the sleep quality of medical students, University of Jember

Abstract

Pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB) is an uncommon respiratory infection that rarely leads to the development of hyponatremia, a condition characterized by low levels of sodium in the blood. In most cases symptoms andiated hyponatremia are mild to moderate, often lacks noticeable symptoms, and can be effectively reversed through treatment with anti-TB medications. Hyponatremia is diagnosed when the serum sodium level falls below 135 mmol/L, and it is considered severe when the level drops below 125 mmol/L. Among electrolyte imbalances, hyponatremia is one of the most frequently observed, with a prevalence ranging from 1 to 4% in its severe manifestation. This journal reports the case of a male patient who presented with decreased consciousness, suspected to be associated with moderate hyponatremia, tuberculous meningoencephalitis, pulmonary tuberculosis, and sinus bradycardia. The patient's symptoms associated with hyponatremia were relatively mild, prompting the need for further evaluation to ascertain the root cause of the electrolyte imbalance. This is particularly important for patients with suspected tuberculosis who are also experiencing complications related to hyponatremia.
