Abstract

This study aims to find out the early childhood motor development contained in RA Rabbani Islamic School, how to implement the interior of the learning room and play on the physical development of children's motor and see the relationship. The research was conducted at RA Rabbani Islamic School located in Medan City, Medan Helvetia Subdistrict. The method used is qualitative with a phenomenological approach and data collection techniques through observation, interviews, documentation. Then, researchers perform data analysis techniques to compile the data obtained and finally, namely performing data validity techniques through source triangualization, engineering triagulation and time triangulation. The results showed that children's motor development is at a level of developing as expected, because in the implementation of the interior of the study and play room at RA Rabbani Islamic School is very concerned about the shape, color, lighting, texture, variability, material concept, and size of the interior, therefore there is a connection between the interior of the study room and play on the physical development of early childhood motor, From 15 children, there are 11 children who have achieved development as expected (BSH), and 4 children who are very well developed (BSB). If indicated, then the average value is 86, meaning that it has exceeded the value limit of 80, which is determined as the completion value of development achievements.

Abstract

Parenting by single mothers is one of the most common social phenomena in society. Parents become single parents due to several factors such as the occurrence of divorce and or their spouse has died. Parents who become single parents will experience a series of problems. This is because there is only one parent who cares for and raises the child. The purpose of this study is to find out how the parenting style is, the inhibiting factors and to find out the efforts of single mothers in instilling social values in children. The approach taken in this research is a qualitative approach. The data collection technique used in this research is to use the method of observation, interviews and documentation. In addition, the data analysis technique uses the data triangulation method for data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are, single parent parenting in instilling social values in children uses democratic and authoritarian parenting styles. Where a single parent democratic parenting pattern always prioritizes the interests of children, nurturing them with love without any coercion, the inhibiting and encouraging factors in instilling social values in children in the area are busyness factors and economic factors and low economic factors where parents busy working so that it is difficult to instill social values in children, and the efforts made by single mothers with good communication between single parents and children can have a positive impact on children's morale because parents' advice or messages are conveyed to children in instilling children's social values.

Abstract

The use of learning media in early childhood education is still limited and tends to be traditional in approach, making it less appealing to children. This situation results in the cognitive development of early childhood not reaching its maximum potential due to the lack of interactive and enjoyable learning tools. This study aims to develop an interactive game media called “Fruit Game's” to improve the cognitive development of early childhood. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research was conducted at Al-Azhar Kindergarten with subjects aged 4-5 years. The data collection instruments were interviews and validation questionnaires from media experts, subject matter experts, and language experts. The interactive “Fruit Game's” media was declared suitable for use based on the experts' assessment, and media users can improve children's cognitive abilities in recognizing colors, shapes, and simple counting concepts. Interactive educational game learning media is recommended for early childhood teachers as an innovative learning medium to improve the cognitive abilities of early childhood.

Abstract

Instilling the value of patience in early childhood is often difficult to understand due to its abstract nature. Therefore, interesting and concrete learning media are needed for children. This study aims to develop a storytelling learning media based on the story of the Prophet Yusuf to instill the value of patience in early childhood. This study adopted a Research and Development (R&D) model. The subjects were students of Al-Azhar Kindergarten in Langsa City, while the object was the storytelling media. The research instruments included observation sheets and expert questionnaires. Data were analyzed descriptively with qualitative and quantitative approaches. The results showed that digital animated storytelling media successfully increased children's understanding of the value of patience through activities such as watching stories, quizzes, and puzzles. Therefore, early childhood teachers recommend the use of digital storytelling media as an alternative learning medium to instill religious and moral values with a more interesting and effective approach.

Abstract

Banjir yang terjadi di Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang pada akhir tahun 2025 memberikan dampak besar terhadap kehidupan masyarakat, termasuk terganggunya aktivitas pendidikan anak. Kondisi sekolah yang terdampak banjir menyebabkan proses belajar mengajar tidak berjalan optimal sehingga anak mengalami penurunan motivasi belajar dan keterbatasan akses literasi. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan literasi anak pasca-banjir melalui metode storytelling pada sekolah darurat. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan melibatkan 45 anak usia sekolah dasar di lokasi pengungsian dan sekolah darurat terdampak banjir. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi observasi kebutuhan anak, penyusunan media cerita berbasis edukatif dan psikososial, pelaksanaan storytelling interaktif, pendampingan membaca dan menulis sederhana, serta evaluasi kegiatan. Hasil pelaksanaan menunjukkan bahwa metode storytelling mampu meningkatkan minat belajar, kemampuan menyimak, keberanian berbicara, serta partisipasi anak dalam aktivitas literasi. Selain itu, kegiatan storytelling membantu menciptakan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan dan mendukung pemulihan psikologis anak pascabencana. Pendampingan sekolah darurat melalui storytelling menjadi alternatif strategi pembelajaran yang efektif dalam menjaga keberlangsungan pendidikan anak pada situasi darurat bencana banjir.
