Abstract

This article discusses research related to the application of experimental methods through science games as an effort to improve science process skills for children aged 4-5 years. This study aims to look at the initial conditions of early childhood science process skills before the implementation of science play activities, an overview of the implementation of science play activities, and the improvement of children's science process skills after the implementation of science play activities. This research was conducted in Group A2 TK Aisyiyah 12 Singaparna with the number of research subjects as many as 14 children aged 4-5 years. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out in two cycles. The instrument used was an observation sheet for children's process skills. The results showed that the development of children's science process skills was quite significant for two cycles. Children's learning outcomes using the experimental method through color propagation science games managed to achieve a higher percentage on the development of children's science process skills by 85.7%. Artikel ini membahas tentang penelitian terkait penerapan metode eksperimen melalui permainan sains sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains bagi anak usia 4-5 tahun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat kondisi awal keterampilan proses sains anak usia dini sebelum penerapan kegiatan bermain sains, gambaran pelaksanaan kegiatan bermain sains, serta peningkatan keterampilan proses sains anak setelah penerapan kegiatan bermain sains. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kelompok A2 TK Aisyiyah 12 Singaparna dengan jumlah subjek penelitian sebanyak 14 anak yang berusia 4-5 tahun. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus.  Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar observasi keterampilan proses anak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perkembangan keterampilan proses sains anak yang cukup signifikan selama dua siklus. Hasil belajar anak dengan metode eksperimen melalui permainan sains rambatan warna berhasil mencapai persentase yang lebih tinggi pada perkembangan keterampilan proses sains anak sebesar 85, 7%.
