Abstract

Forests area that designated as village forest needs to be managed and maintained it’s sustainability. Since it is established as village forest,the people of Dusun Manjau attitudes about the village forest was unknown. By knowing the attitude of societiesabout the village forests, we’ll see the societies’s motivations and initiatives to maintain and preserve thesearea. This research aims to knowthe attitudes of the people about village forest in Dusun Manjau. The results of the research is that people who have a positive attitude about village forest in Dusun Manjau are people who respect’s the rules that relating to village forest, beside that they also know with continuing to maintain and preserve the village forest,and also to maintain the life and future of generation. In the other side, respondents who have negative attitude about the village forest is those that don’t care about the village forest and its existence. This attitude caused by several factors, among others, lack of awareness about the surrounding environment, lack of information about how importantto keep the village forest. According to the information from members of LPHD (Lembaga Pengelolaan Hutan Desa / Village Forest Management Council)in Dusun Manjau. There are education and socialization provided by NGO and stakeholders to the localpeople, but not all the people take participate in these activities. Keyword : Aittude, Dusun Manjau, village forest

Abstract

Descriptive analysis show the characteristics of societies is different, based on the level income average the respondents included in the high income category 20,15%, medium 61,56%, and low category 17,95%. While, based on the level knowledge there are three categories : high 71,79%, medium 21,80%, and for the low category 6,41% and for the characteristics of the respondents, based on counseling program with 78 respondents, high category 89,74% with 70 respondents, medium 5,13% with 4 respondents, and the low category 5,13% with 4 respondents. And the next category is characteristics respondents. Role of forestry extension the social changes the utilization non timber forest products, having a percentage for the category 91,02% with 71 respondents, for the medium category 5,31% with 4 respondents while for the low category 3,85% with 3 respondents. Inferential analysis results indicate that there is a significant relation between counseling program (33,61) with the role of forestry extension towards social changes and there is no significant relation between the level of income (1,27), knowledge (6,94) with counseling role social forestry in Tunggul Boyok Village. Abstract

Rubber farm has been in interest by society in the village of Nanga Tekungai Serawai District district 1990'an Sintang of years as a sideline livelihood. Although rubber farming community is a side job, but the income of the people in the village of Nanga Tekungai of farm produce sizeable rubber. This study aims to determine the public perception of farming as well as the rubber plant wants to know whether there is any influence of knowledge, cosmopolitan and income to the farming community that the love of rubber horticultural society in the village of Nanga Tekungai. This study uses a descriptive survey and associative with interview techniques and tools such as questionnaires form lists a number of questions posed to the respondent. Public perception of rubber farming is likely to be positive, with 71 respondents (69.61%) of the total 102 respondents, it demonstrates that people agree and do not hesitate in getting rubber farming. Conclusion The results showed that people in the village of Nanga Tekungai District Serawai Sintang likely to have positive perceptions of rubber farming and knowledge factors, income and cosmopolitan influence public perception in the village of Nanga Tekungai District Serawai Sintang the rubber farm.
