Abstract

Jalan merupakan alat transportasi darat yang berperan penting dalam kehidupan sehari-hari masyarakat. Tingkat penggunaan jalan di Provinsi Sumatera Utara semakin meningkat, dikarenakan jumlah penduduk yang bertambah dari hari ke hari. Sehingga perlu adanya suatu penanganan terhadap kondisi dari kinerja ruas jalan guna untuk mewujudkan kegiatan lalu lintas dan angkutan jalan aman, lancar, cepat, tertib, nyaman, dan efisien. Perbaikan yang dilakukan biasanya kurang informasi atau kurang tepat sasaran mengenai jalan yang rusak. Berdasarkan permasalahan di atas akan dibangun suatu sistem pendukung keputusan untuk menentukan lokasi prioritas perbaikan jalan menggunakan metode Preference Selection Index (PSI). Dalam penelitian ini, metode Preference Selection Index (PSI) diaplikasikan dengan tujuan untuk memberikan solusi yang terbaik dalam menentukan lokasi prioritas perbaikan jalan di Sumatera Utara. Berdasarkan kriteria-kriteria yang telah ditetapkan oleh Dinas Bina Marga yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu: umur jalan, volume lalu lintas, luas kerusakan, dan kondisi jalan. Hal ini bertujuan untukĀ  mempermudah dalam menentukan prioritas lokasi perbaikan jalan yang lebih cepat, akurat, dan tepat sasaran, sehingga nantinya system yang dihasilkan dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 danĀ  mengggunakan database Microsoft Access 2007 dapat lebih membantu Dinas Bina Marga dalam menenukan pemilihan lokasi prioritas perbaikan jalan di Sumatera Utara.

Abstract

Text file size is sometimes relatively large where the better the quality of the resulting text file, the larger the file size needed to store the text file. With a very large text file size, when carrying out the transfer process the transfer process may fail because the media storage space exceeds the limit. The solution to this problem is how the text file can be compressed in order to speed up the transfer and storage of text files. Compression in text files is done by reducing the size of the text file by reducing the bits in the text file, but not eliminating the information data in it.By compressing, large data will be reduced in size so as to save storage space. In this study, the algorithm used is punctured elias codes, by using this algorithm, the compression results of the values have different results for each value, and the compression results will be beneficial in sending, and moving text files will be easier.

Abstract

With the development and advancement of technology, it is something that we should be grateful for, but there are many things that must be considered, one of which is the full storage memory, and also the slow file transfer process so that it takes quite a long time. Data compression (data utilization) is a technique to reduce the amount of data size (compression result) from the original data. To solve this problem, it is recommended to compress video files with the appropriate algorithm in order to get optimal results. The analysis is carried out in comparing the process of how the Huffman algorithm works and the Rice Code algorithm using the exponential method. To compress video files on both algorithms will be measured using the parameters Ratio Of Compression, Compression Ratio, Redundancy, Space Caving, and Time Compression. the file to be compressed is a video file with MP4 format. Video file compression is a process to remove various redundancies from the bit set in a video file so that the size becomes smaller. In the comparison of the two Huffman algorithms with Rice Code, both have a type of lossless compression algorithm, which is a type of compression that can be decompressed and the results obtained from the comparison of the two algorithms, that the Rice Code algorithm is superior to Huffman.

Abstract

Scholarship assistance is educational assistance organized by the government, foundations or companies to help ease the burden on underprivileged students so they can continue their education and to improve the quality of human resources through education. YAPIM SMA provides scholarships to underprivileged students every year. To get the scholarship, the school sets several criteria for which students can be recommended and are entitled to receive scholarship assistance for the underprivileged. These criteria will later help the school in determining which students are entitled to get scholarships for underprivileged students. To make it easier for schools to determine students who are entitled to scholarships, it is necessary to have a decision support recommendation system that functions to help select prospective scholarship recipients who are less fortunate. In this study the authors applied the OCRA method for ranking values and the order centroid ranking method ( ROC) for the results of weighting at YAPIM schools. By implementing this decision support system, the school can easily determine students who are entitled to get underprivileged scholarships. The assessment runs objectively, accurately.
