Abstract

The study was conducted to determine if the utilization of Montessori Math Model Method in learning the addition and subtraction of fraction has an impact to the improvement of students’ performance. A quantitative design was used in the study. The essential data were gathered from a total number of 67 respondents, 34 students from the experimental group and 33 students from the control  group, with the aid of validated questionnaire. Data were analyzed and interpreted using the Average Weighted Mean and T-test as statistical tools. According to the findings of the study, data revealed that the result of pre-test and post-test of both experimental and controlled group is significant. The result showed that there is a significant difference of the utilization of the Montessori Math Model Method in learning addition and subtraction of fraction in Grade 5 Pupils in Kaputian Elementary School.

Abstract

The concern of this study is to determine The Effect of Educational Games on the Level of Motivation of Grade 4 Students in Angel Villarica Central Elementary School. A quantitative research design employing an experimental method was used in the study. The essential data were gathered from a total number of seventy-three (73) respondents, 36 students from the control group and 37 students from the experimental group, with the aid of a questionnaire validated by a panel of experts. The statistical tools used in this study were Average Weighted Mean and t-test for Independent Sample Means. The study proved that there was no significant difference between the mean gain scores of the experimental and control groups. It means that the use of educational games has no significant effect on the level of motivation in science. However, educational games can be considered as an alternative method in delivering the Science lesson. It was being recommended in the study to conduct a similar study in the future to confirm that educational games have no effect on the level of motivation and involve a wider scope in the conduct of the study

Abstract

Positive mental health plays a pivotal role in overall health and wellness. The study aimed to determine the relationship between perceived positive mental health and resilience of grade 6 students in Tagbitan-ag Elementary School and to identify the levels of positive mental health and resilience. The study utilized a non-experimental quantitative correlational research design. The data was collected using an adapted survey questionnaire and was conducted on the selected 80 grade 6 learners employing convenience sampling. The data was analyzed using the Mean and Pearson-Product Moment Correlation Coefficient. The study results showed that grade 6 students had a moderately high level of perceived positive mental health and resilience. It was also found that perceived mental health is associated with the students' resilience. That suggests that individuals with higher levels of positive mental health are also more likely to have higher levels of resilience or vice-versa.
