Abstract

This study aims to determine relationship between self-concept and toxic disinhibition online effect on students who use social media Instagram. The measuring instrument used is the Toxic Disinhibition Online Effect Scale and the Self-concept scale. The population in this study were students using Instagram. The research methods is a quantitative method. This research was conducted for twelve months, where it was found that out of 170 students, more than half (51,23%) had a positive self-concept. Based on the results of statistical tests the significance values is 0.200. The significance value in this study is greater than 0.05 with a correlation value of -0.065. Based on this, it can be concluded that there is no relationship between self-control and toxic disinhibition online effect, so it is recommended that students who have a positive self-concept should maintain the frequency, duration, and intensity of social media use as a form of prevention so that there is no toxic disinhibition online effect.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Brain Respiration on reducing stress in mothers working from home (WFH). Brain Respiration is a powerful technique to energize the brain because it can regulate emotions that can reduce stress. Fifteen people joined the experimental group and the rest control group. Mothers who were members of the experimental group got Brain Respiration while the control group did not. A biofeedback device measured the degree of stress through electrodermal activity (EDA). The results obtained show that there are differences in the degree of stress in the form of a decrease in the degree of stress in WFH mothers who are included in the experimental group after being given Brain Respiration (T-count = 12, and T-table = 25. If T-count < T-table then H0 rejected). There are also differences in the degree of stress in WFH mothers included in the experimental group and the control group (the results of U-count = 31.5 and U-table = 72). The conclusion can be drawn is that Brain Respiration can reduce stress in WFH mothers.

Abstract

This research aims to see how the effect of Brain Respiration in reducing stress related to Romantic Relationships in young adults. Quasi-experimental was used in this study, and participants were recruited using purposive sampling. Thirty young adults experiencing romantic relationship problems were involved in the study. The participants were divided into experimental and control groups using randomized control. To measure electrodermal activity (EDA) that reflects stress, this study used a biofeedback device. The statistical analysis used was the T-Test and Mann-Whitney. From this study, it was found that the degree of stress in young adults who received Brain Respiration decreased (T-count = 0,001 < 0,05). When compared with the control group, the reduction in the degree of stress in young adults in the experimental group was much lower (x̄ post-test experimental group = 2,8 < x̄ post-test control group 4,8). The conclusion is that Brain Respiration can reduce the degree of stress in young adults experiencing romance problems.
