Abstract

Usaha Konveksi Susilawati is one of the businesses engaged in convection that produces t-shirts that still have problems with defective products in the form of messy stitches, asymmetrical seams, incomplete accessories, unclean t-shirts, and inaccuracies in size, so quality control is necessary with the six sigma method.. Research This aim is to improve the quality of cotton combed t-shirt production using the DMAIC stage. This research begins with making a project charter and collecting data. It was found that there were four data that were outside the control limits, so improvement was needed. After that, the data is continued by calculating the DPMO value is 8,1350.80 and converting it into a sigma level of 3.90. With this sigma level value, it can be said that this company is at a profit of 25-40% sales and only reaches 93.3% customer satisfaction level. The results of FMEA analysis with the highest RPN value are method factors because there is no clear SOP. At the improve stage using the 5W+1H method, Kaizen 5S theory and Poka Yoke. Based on the improvement plan, a proposal for improving the design of a new work SOP can be made. The control stage is carried out by re-testing the company's production data after implementing the proposed improvement. The results obtained are the DPMO value of 2,063.71 and converted to a sigma level of 4.37. This shows that the production quality of the Usaha Konveksi Susilawati’s clothing has increased after the implementation.

Abstract

PT. AB is a company that manufactures products such as gaskets and sealing profiles. From initial observations found problems in the production process, where there is a lot of waste, causing reduced product quality, not achieving targets, and a lot of waste of activities that are not added value. This research was conducted to analyze the problem using the Lean Six Sigma method with the aim of minimizing waste along the production process line and to reduce product defects. Some of the tools used to identify waste is to use WRM and WAQ obtained through questionnaires to related parties in the company. It is known that there are three types of highest waste in the production process, namely overproduction with 27.12%, inventory with 22.20%, and defects with 20.28%. Meanwhile, the highest type of defect produced is welding torque of 30.1%. From the current VSM made, it is known that the PCE value is 68.5%. For the repair process carried out using the Kanban system, from the future VSM it is known that there is an increase in the PCE value to 83.46%. Proposed improvements made are making a checksheet for machine inspection, and making an internal complaint form.PT. AB adalah perusahaan yang memproduksi produk seperti gasket dan sealing profile. Dari observasi awal ditemukan permasalahan pada proses produksi, dimana terdapat banyak pemborosan sehingga menyebabkan berkurangnya kualitas produk, tidak tercapainya target, dan banyak pemborosan    kegiatan yang tidak bernilai tambah. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganilsa permasalahan dengan menggunakan metode Lean Six Sigma dengan tujuan meminimalkan pemborosan-pemborosan pada sepanjang jalur proses produksi serta untuk mengurangi kecacatan produk. Beberapa Tools yang digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi pemborosan adalah dengan menggunakan WRM dan WAQ yang didapatkan melalui  kuesioner kepada pihak-pihak yang terkait di perusahaan. Diketahui terdapat tiga jenis waste tertinggi pada proses produksi yaitu overproduction sebesar 27,12%, inventory dengan 22,20%, dan defect dengan 20,28%. Sedangkan Jenis kecacatan tertinggi yang dihasilkan yaitu welding torn sebesar 30,1%. Dari current VSM yang dibuat diketahui nilai PCE sebesar 68,5%. Untuk proses perbaikan dilakukan dengan menggunakan sistem Kanban, dari  future VSM diketahui terjadi peningkatan nilai PCE menjadi 83.46%. Usulan perbaikan yang dilakukan adalah pembuatan checksheet pemeriksaan mesin, dan pembuatan internal complain form.
