Abstract

Pemahaman tentang keberagaman sangat penting dikenalkan terhadap mahasiswa dalam menjaga kesatuan dan persatuan bangsa. Pemahaman ini bisa dikenalkan melalui berbagai hal, salah satunya melalui strategi pembelajaran yang digunakan. dari hasil penelitian strategi pembelajaran yang tepat bisa memberikan pemahaman yang maksimal akan konsep keberagaman di kalangan mahasiswa taDRIS pada mata kuliah multikulturalisme. Abstract

English is not a core curriculum for elementary school based on the new Curriculum (2013 Curriculum). However, SDN Kowel 3 Pamekasan, is an elementary school that has implemented the 2013 curriculum since 2013 and has taught English to their students. This research tries to analyze about how does the English teacher formulate the strategy in English teaching-learning and how is the implementation of it while English is not one of Core Curriculum in 2013 Curriculum at the fourth grade of SDN Kowel 3 Pamekasan. This research is qualitative descriptive research. Interview, observation, and documentation were utilized to collect the data. The result shows that the English teacher used the previous curriculum, School-Based Curriculum (SBC), as the basis of the English teaching-learning process when the subject is not in the 2013 curriculum. In this case, the school changes the position of English from an extra curriculum into a local curriculum. Moreover, the English teacher develops the lesson plan from the English material book following School-Based Curriculum format which is different from the lesson plan format of 2013 Curriculum. While the implementation is the English teacher commonly used Audio Lingual Method (ALM) through repetition drill at the beginning of the class.

Abstract

The result of Monitoring and Evaluation on the implementation of 2013 curriculum in the level of Junior High School in the year of 2014 showed that one of the teachers’ difficulties in implementing the 2013 curriculum is the implementing Evaluation. Related to this problem, the government has done many revisions on the Evaluation part, the last revision done by the Educational and Cultural Department is the emergence of the Provision of the Educational and Cultural Department No.53 year 2015. The provisions in the Educational and Cultural Department  is started to be implemented in the Even Semester year academic 2015/ 2016 in all educational levels which implement the 2013 curriculum, including the State Junior High School 1 (SMPN 1) Pamekasan. Therefore, the researcher is interested to know how far the implementation of the English Evaluation of 2013 curriculum in SMPN 1 Pamekasan based on the constitution of Educational and Cultural Department No.53 year 2015. The result of this research is, first the implementation of English Evaluation based on the Constitution of Educational and Cultural Department No.53 year 2015 has not been done correctly. Second, the teachers found some difficulties in evaluating the students’ English work based on the Constitution of Educational and Cultural Department No.53 year 2015, they are 1) many indicators in behavioral evaluation that needs to be analyzed deeper, they are being polite, discipline, self confidence, and cooperation, 2) in formulating the grid of skill aspect, especially in formulating the evaluation suitable with the skill that is needed to be evaluated, 3) in the project evaluation technique and portfolio evaluation technique.

Abstract

This article examines the impact of integrating interactive technology in character education programs on ethical character development in Islamic colleges from the lecturers' perspective. The study addresses two research questions: (1) How does the integration of interactive technology influence ethical character development, according to lecturers in Islamic colleges? (2) What challenges do lecturers face in effectively utilizing interactive technology for nurturing ethical character education?. Data was collected through a survey of 50 lecturers from Islamic colleges in Madura, using a combination of closed-ended and open-ended questions. The findings reveal that integrating interactive technology positively affects ethical character development by enhancing student engagement, critical thinking, and moral reasoning. This research contributes to addressing a research gap by providing empirical evidence on the effectiveness of interactive technology in nurturing ethical character development in the context of Islamic colleges. Additionally, the study identifies challenges lecturers face in embracing the digital age, including limited technical skills, inadequate resources, and resistance to change. Addressing these challenges is crucial for maximizing the potential of interactive technology in character education programs. Overall, this research offers practical insights for educational institutions and policymakers, informing the design of strategies for incorporating interactive technology into character education programs while mitigating associated challenges. By focusing specifically on Islamic colleges, this study provides unique perspectives on integrating interactive technology in nurturing ethical character development, adding novelty to the existing literature
