Abstract

Reasoning is one of parts most important in of learning math. However still many students which still confused do problems math especially in questions story SPLDV which really need ability reasoning. For that in research aims to analyze ability reasoning in mathematical terms of intelligence logical mathematical school junior hig research is research study case approach this Subjects in research are this 3 students’ class VIII SMPN 188 Jakarta consists of students who have level intelligence logical high moderate and low. The collection data in research this carried outiwith method test, interview and documentation Based on results analysis data ithat obtained iwho student has high level intelligence logical mathematicali) S1ifulfills all indicators ability reasoning mathematical in third( questions, student who has level intelligence logical mathematical moderate (S2) only fulfills four indicators ability reasoning mathematical student tin the qand third iwhich has level intelligence logical is low only fulfills three indicator on question number one then, only two indicators for question number two and three.

Abstract

A students' ability to understand concepts is an important part of learning mathematics. However, some students are still confused when dealing with compositional function problems that really require understand of concepts. The aim of this study to analyze the ability to understand mathematical concepts in terms of mathematical logic intelligence in the compositional function material. This research uses qualitative methods with a case study approach. The subjects used in this study were 3 students of class X MIPA with high, medium, and low levels of logic mathematical intelligence. The data in this study were collected through observation, tests, interviews, and documentation. According to the results of data analysis, it is found that students with high level of logical mathematical intelligence S-1 can meet all indicators of the ability to understand concepts of mathematics, students who had a level logical mathematical intelligence medium S-2 were only able to fulfill 3 indicators, and students who had a level of logical intelligence low S-3 is able to meet all indicators. The category of students' mathematical logical intelligence level cannot determine students' ability to understand concepts, because the results show that students with low logical intelligence understand concepts better than students who have moderate logical intelligence.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach on learners’ numeracy ability. This research is a quantitative study with a true-experimental approach with a pretest-posttest control group design. It involves measuring learners' numeracy ability before and after treatment through written tests. The data were analyzed using the t-statistical test to determine the significance of the difference in numeracy ability between the experimental and control groups. The results showed that learners who participated in learning with the CRT approach experienced a more significant improvement in numeracy ability compared to the control group. The findings support the application of a culturally-based approach to improve numeracy ability in a contextually and innovatively. Abstract

The numeracy ability of students in Indonesia is still relatively low. This condition encourages the need to apply a more adaptive learning approach, such as the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach. Therefore, this study aims to examine the effect of the application of the TaRL approach on improving the numeracy ability of class X students at SMAN 65 Jakarta. The method used is a quantitative research with a true-experimental approach to pretest-posttest control group design. Data were analyzed from pre-posttests using simple statistical and regression tests. After analysis, the results showed that the TaRL approach significantly improved the numeracy ability of the students, as shown by the posttest scores of the experimental group being higher than the control group.
