Abstract

Birth Ball is one of physical therapy or simple exercises with a ball. Birth Ball is applied to pregnant women ,maternity mothers and postpartum mothers. The Independent Midwife Practice (PMB) Muzilatul Nisma is one of the health care facilities in Jambi City that provides midwifery services such as Mom's and Baby Spa services with certified midwives/therapists. One of the available therapies is Birth Ball therapy. Based on the preliminary survey, most of the pregnant women who visited did not get adequate information about birth ball and the utilization of birth ball for pregnant women. The purpose of this activity is to increase the knowledge and skills of pregnant women about the utilization of Birth Balls in pregnancy. The target of this activity is carried out on pregnant women in the second and third trimesters. The activities are the implementation of pre-test, providing education by giving leaflets, demonstration of the utilization of Birth Ball and post-test implementation. The result there is an increase knowledge up to 43.35%. With this educational activity and the utilization of Birth Ball, it is hoped that the feeling of comfort and pain reduction increases during pregnancy and before maternity to support the realization of normal maretnity, safe maternity, comfortable maternity and fluent maternity.

Abstract

Aromatherapy is a healing therapy that involves the use of pure essential oils distilled from various parts of plants, flowers, and trees, each of which contains therapeutic properties. One form of aromatherapy preparation is aromatherapy candles. Aromatherapy candles are an object that can provide a calming effect. Essential oil from lavender flower extract as aromatherapy that gives a relaxing, anti-neurodepressive and sedating effect that is beneficial for pregnant women who experience insomnia, reduce anxiety levels and, increase levels of alertness. This therapy is recommended for pregnant women to help minimize discomfort during pregnancy, especially reducing the problem of sleep disorders. The purpose of this activity is to increase knowledge about the benefits of aromatherapy candles to improve the quality of sleep of pregnant women. The target of the implementation of this activity was carried out in trimestester II and III pregnant women. The form of activities is in the form of providing education with the lecture method with leaflet media and to see the increase in knowledge is done by conducting pre-test and post-test. The results obtained were before being given education the level of knowledge of pregnant women was 64.75% and after being given education the mother's knowledge increased to 93.6%, so it can be concluded that there was an increase in knowledge by 28.85%. With this educational activity, it is hoped that an increase in knowledge and an increase in the mother's sense of comfort during pregnancy will be achieved

Abstract

Baby care in health sciences, especially midwifery, there is many of kinds that use to maintain the health of babies from newborns to 12 months of age. One of baby care is baby massage. Baby massage is an art of health care that is touch therapy with specialy techniques that given to babies there for the benefits of treatment and health are achieved. This research is quantitative with cross sectional approach. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between mother's knowledge and attitudes towards the implementation of infant massage for infants 0-12 months at PMB Muzilatul Nisma Jambi City. The data collection of mother's knowledge and attitudes towards the implementation of infant massage was collected by a questionnaire. The population in this study were all mothers with babies 0-12 months who visited PMB Muzilatul Nisma totaling 80 people with a sample of 45 peoples. The sampling technique is accidental sampling. Data analysis was carried out univariate and bivariate using chi square statistical test. The results showed that there was a relationship between knowledge and massage in infants aged 0-12 months with p-value = 0.039. Beside that, there is a relationship between mother's attitude and baby massage in infants aged 0-12 months with a P-value = 0.012. From the results of this study, it is hoped that health workers and midwifery service providers will be more active in providing education to the public about baby massage.

Abstract

The incidence and mortality rate due to cervical cancer in the world ranks second after breast cancer. Meanwhile, developing countries still occupy the top rank as the cause of death from cancer at reproductive age. The death rate for cervical cancer is still high, more than 92 thousand women in Indonesia are due to cervical cancer, this can be caused by the absence of an early monitoring process. The coverage of early detection of cervical cancer in Indonesia is very low, only around 5%. This is caused by a lack of knowledge about cervical cancer so that the incidence of cervical cancer increases every year. The purpose of this study was to describe the level of knowledge of WUS about cervical cancer in Posyandu Lavenda, Kenali Besar sub-district, Jambi City. The research method used is quantitative research with a descriptive analytic approach with a cross sectional design, with accidental sampling technique being used as a sample. Data collection in this study was carried out using an online questionnaire. The subjects of this study were 50 individuals, this study was analyzed using univariate analysis. This research was conducted from October 2021 to July 2022. Research results Based on the research it was found that some Women of Reproductive Age (WUS) had good knowledge of 53.3%, and some had bad knowledge of 46.5% about cervical cancer. This study can be concluded that some Women of Reproductive Age (WUS) have good knowledge as much as 53.3%, and some have bad knowledge as much as 46.5% about cervical cancer. Suggestions for future researchers to examine more deeply the factors that influence the incidence of cervical cancer.
