Abstract

The changes in the curriculum and syllabus of the Air Traffic Management study program became the background of the research. Updating learning media is expected to be able to support the learning process. The purpose of the study was to determine practical learning and the urgency of learning media needs for the NOTAM course practicum. The type of research used in this research is descriptive quantitative and qualitative research with survey methods. Students stated that the current practical learning of NOTAM courses out of ten indicators had positive scores with scores above 92%. Based on the questionnaire results, 100% of respondents agree that the urgency of the current practicum learning media is very much needed. The research was reinforced by the interview results with the supervisor, who stated that the success rate of participants in the practicum was around 70% and suggested practicum learning media so that students could demonstrate the making of NOTAM.

Abstract

In the Air Navigation Technology study program at Aviation Polytechnic of Makassar, there is a Security Observation Equipment course. This course studies airport security equipment to support aviation safety and security with one of the equipment that will be taught is CCTV. Aviation Polytechnic of Makassar plans to make a CCTV trainer to facilitate learning about CCTV and its installation in the Security Observation Equipment course. In this research, the first step to be carried out is to design a CCTV trainer that will be used in the course practicum. Furthermore, the second stage is the stage of assembling the CCTV trainer. After the CCTV installation is complete, the next step is to test the system to find out the system is running as it should. From this research, the authors were able to design a CCTV trainer using several types of CCTV, NVR, and Switch to be displayed on the monitor. In addition, with this research, the knowledge and abilities of the cadets of the Air Navigation Engineering, Makassar Aviation Polytechnic in the Security Observation Equipment course, have increased from the previous 21.2% and 37.9% to 43.9% and 48.5% in the category very good.

Abstract

Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) merupakan salah satu alat pendaratan visual yang berfungsi memandu pesawat udara yang akan mendarat dengan memberikan sudut pendaratan yang tepat kepada pesawat udara tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memudahkan kinerja teknisi serta efisiensi waktu. Metode penelitian dengan melakukan observasi Precission Approach Path Indicator (PAPI), mencari referensi terkait rangkaian dan bahan, melakukan perancangan serta melakukan pengujian. Hasil pengujian rancangan alat ini bekerja berdasarkan pembacaan dari sensor sudut MPU-6050 yang ditampilkan pada LCD, serta menambah fitur kontrol menaik turunkan box PAPI ketika terjadi perubahan sudut mengunakan Motor Servo.
