Abstract

The presence of social media allows researchers to consider new data collection and triangulation strategies. Positivist researchers take advantage of the internet's presence as a medium for collecting data. Meanwhile, interpretive qualitative researchers have not utilized the potential provided by social media to enrich data collection in order to deepen understanding of a topic being researched. By using the case of the effectiveness of the application of e-procurement in a district, the researcher conducted face-to-face interviews (offline) and also observed discussions on social media and content sharing about the implementation and use of government e-procurement in a district. This study uses an interpretative qualitative paradigm to describe how social media exchanges, uploads, and conversations can be used as a means of collecting data in interpretive qualitative research. The results of this study indicate that social media observation can be used as a research tool to increase understanding of a topic being studied and also as a triangulation medium. This study also proves that the use of social media in interpretive studies can reduce challenges in informant recruitment, access to research sites, and reduce bias in interviews. This research contributes to the understanding of a research topic using data from two environments.Keywords:Social media, interpretif study, e-procurement effectiveness, research paradigm

Abstract

This study aims to determine university students’ continuance intention in using an android-based teaching performance assessment (TPA) application. For the data gathering instrument, we employed an online structured questionnaire. Two hundred and forty students from four faculties were selected and assigned a five-scale survey. All completed questionnaires were analyzed using analysis of moment structure (AMOS). The findings show that the factors of productivity, performance, relevancy, quality and mobility of the android-based TPA have significantly influenced students’ continuance intention to use the application. The results highlighted that when an android-based system was developed based on the criteria, the long-term use of the android-based TPA application can be consistently maintained to improve universities’ teaching quality assessment. However, our study needs to improve in that the university students may evaluate teaching staffs who are not teaching a subject in their class because all teaching staff has appeared in the application database. In addition, further research needs to limit each lecture based on a specific course to be assessed by a particular student’s class.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology is driving the transformation of science laboratory management toward a more modern, effective, and adaptive system aligned with the demands of 21st-century learning. This study aims to describe the implementation of digital technology-based Smart Laboratory Management in supporting science learning oriented toward 21st-century skills. The novelty of this study lies in its integrated analysis of Smart Laboratory Management implementation as a unified system that simultaneously integrates digital laboratory governance and the development of students' 21st-century skills, particularly within the context of madrasas and secondary schools in Indonesia a perspective that has not been comprehensively examined in prior research. The study employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. The research was conducted at science laboratories in madrasas and secondary schools. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Research informants consisted of laboratory heads, science teachers, laboratory technicians, and students. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model, encompassing data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that Smart Laboratory Management was implemented through the digitalization of laboratory administration, the use of inventory barcodes, the utilization of equipment and materials management applications, and the integration of digital learning media into practicum activities. This system was capable of enhancing laboratory management effectiveness, accelerating access to inventory information, improving students' collaboration skills and digital literacy, and supporting 21st-century skills-based science learning. Implementation challenges included limitations in technological infrastructure, the digital competence of laboratory staff, and budget constraints for system development. This study implies that digital technology-based laboratory transformation is an essential requirement for improving the quality of modern science learning. ABSTRAK Perkembangan teknologi digital mendorong transformasi pengelolaan laboratorium IPA menuju sistem yang lebih modern, efektif, dan adaptif terhadap kebutuhan pembelajaran abad 21. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi Smart Laboratory Management berbasis teknologi digital dalam mendukung pembelajaran IPA yang berorientasi pada keterampilan abad 21. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada kajian terpadu yang menganalisis implementasi Smart Laboratory Management sebagai sistem tunggal yang secara simultan mengintegrasikan tata kelola laboratorium digital dan pengembangan keterampilan abad 21 peserta didik, khususnya dalam konteks madrasah dan sekolah menengah di Indonesia suatu perspektif yang belum secara komprehensif dikaji dalam penelitian sebelumnya. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan pada laboratorium IPA di tingkat madrasah/sekolah menengah. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Informan penelitian terdiri atas kepala laboratorium, guru IPA, laboran, dan peserta didik. Analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi Smart Laboratory Management dilakukan melalui digitalisasi administrasi laboratorium, penggunaan barcode inventaris, pemanfaatan aplikasi pengelolaan alat dan bahan, serta integrasi media pembelajaran digital dalam kegiatan praktikum. Sistem ini mampu meningkatkan efektivitas pengelolaan laboratorium, mempercepat akses informasi inventaris, meningkatkan keterampilan kolaborasi dan literasi digital peserta didik, serta mendukung pembelajaran IPA berbasis keterampilan abad 21. Kendala implementasi meliputi keterbatasan infrastruktur teknologi, kompetensi digital tenaga laboratorium, dan keterbatasan anggaran pengembangan sistem. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi bahwa transformasi laboratorium berbasis teknologi digital menjadi kebutuhan penting dalam meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran IPA modern.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The rapid development of digital technology has transformed the way Generation Z accesses and learns religious knowledge. The emergence of various social media platforms has given rise to the phenomenon of “digital kyai,” referring to religious figures who deliver Islamic teachings and da’wah through digital media. This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of digital kyai and the transformation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning resources among Generation Z. The research employed a library research method by reviewing and analyzing relevant scholarly sources, including journal articles, books, and previous studies related to digital Islamic education, social media, and the religious behavior of Generation Z. The collected data were analyzed using a descriptive-qualitative approach through identification, categorization, interpretation, and synthesis of findings from the literature. The results indicate that digital kyai have become one of the primary references for Generation Z because they provide religious learning that is more flexible, communicative, interactive, and easily accessible. The transformation of PAI learning resources reflects a shift from teacher-centered and conventional text-based learning toward audiovisual and social media-based digital platforms. Nevertheless, this phenomenon also presents challenges, including the emergence of instant religious authority, superficial religious understanding, and limited religious digital literacy. The study concludes that digital kyai can effectively support Islamic religious learning when accompanied by strengthened Islamic digital literacy, teacher guidance, and the integration of religious moderation values within digital learning environments. ABSTRAK Perkembangan teknologi digital telah mengubah pola akses dan pembelajaran agama di kalangan Generasi Z. Kehadiran berbagai platform media sosial melahirkan fenomena “kyai digital”, yaitu figur keagamaan yang menyampaikan dakwah dan pembelajaran Islam melalui media berbasis digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis fenomena kyai digital serta transformasi sumber belajar Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) pada Generasi Z. Penelitian menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan (library research) dengan mengkaji dan menganalisis berbagai sumber ilmiah berupa jurnal, buku, artikel, dan hasil penelitian yang relevan dengan pendidikan Islam digital, media sosial, dan perilaku religius Generasi Z. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis secara deskriptif-kualitatif melalui proses identifikasi, kategorisasi, interpretasi, dan sintesis temuan dari berbagai literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kyai digital menjadi salah satu sumber rujukan utama bagi Generasi Z karena menawarkan akses pembelajaran agama yang lebih fleksibel, komunikatif, interaktif, dan mudah dijangkau. Transformasi sumber belajar PAI menunjukkan pergeseran dari model pembelajaran yang berpusat pada guru dan kitab konvensional menuju pemanfaatan media digital berbasis audiovisual dan media sosial. Namun demikian, fenomena ini juga menghadirkan tantangan berupa munculnya otoritas keagamaan instan, penyebaran pemahaman agama yang dangkal, serta rendahnya literasi digital keagamaan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pemanfaatan kyai digital dapat mendukung pembelajaran PAI secara efektif apabila diimbangi dengan penguatan literasi digital Islam, pendampingan guru, serta integrasi nilai-nilai moderasi beragama dalam ekosistem pembelajaran digital.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate PPG students' perceptions regarding the program's effective implementation at UIN Datokarama Palu and identify factors that affect the program's effectiveness. The research method used is a mixed method in which we simultaneously employed quantitative and qualitative methods. We surveyed the distribution of questionnaires using Google Forms and conducted in-depth interviews with several PPG students. The results indicate that most students consider the PPG relevant to improving teachers’ competencies and skills. The competencies include selecting, planning, developing, using, and actualizing various classroom teaching materials. Meanwhile, the skills include practicing digital learning and choosing and using relevant teaching material in digital format. However, various obstacles still exist, such as the lack of active interaction in learning, internet connection issues, and the mismatch between task load and available time. Based on the findings, this study recommends improving technological infrastructure, strengthening mentoring, and re-evaluating the curriculum and program management to enhance the Effectiveness of PPG in the future. Future studies should focus on increasing PPG students’ engagement experience during the online PPG program delivery.
