Abstract

This study aims to analyze the public interest in Langkapura Baru Village towards purchasing broiler chicken products in traditional and modern markets. In the Langkapura Baru Village area, Bandar Lampung. The research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method. The technique used in this research is a case study technique. This study collects various data sources including primary data and secondary data. Primary data is data that is directly obtained from information from respondents from the Langkapura Baru Village community which is carried out by means of observation and filling out questionnaires. Secondary data is data obtained from various literacy that helps support the processing of data from the observed variables. Based on the results and discussion, the analysis of the people of Langkapura Baru Village on the purchase of broiler meat products in traditional and modern markets, it can be concluded that, people prefer to buy purebred chicken meat products in modern markets with better product considerations, prices that match the product. , active promotion, and strategic place..

Abstract

Cattle are one of the most popular types of livestock and are widely cultivated by breeders in Indonesia, especially beef cattle, which are meat-producing livestock that have high protein content and economic value. Beef cattle breeding business in Indonesia is traditional in nature, maintenance by breeders is generally a relatively small number and is a side business. Central Lampung Regency has the opportunity to develop beef cattle farms, especially in Seputih Banyak District. The population of beef cattle in Seputih Banyak District is one of the largest in Central Lampung Regency. The potential for abundant agricultural waste at harvest can be used as a source of feed ingredients. The method used for sampling was purposive sampling with 86 breeders as respondents. The variables observed in the study were: ownership status of beef cattle, breeders age, farmer education level, breeding experience, total ownership of beef cattle, main job of breeders, supporting beef cattle business including the type of cattle kept, housing and labor, feed, capita, equipment and marketing. Based on the results and discussion of beef cattle ownership status as much as 77% self-owned, breeders 47% age 40-50 years, education level 45% high school graduates, farming experience 51%, total livestock ownership 62% <5 cattle, main job breeders 70% as a farmer, 76% of Bali's cattle and 72% of marketing use Dutch services. It can be concluded that Seputih Banyak Subdistrict, Central Lampung Regency has the potential to be used as a beef cattle development area.

Abstract

Alternative feed ingredients that can replace commercial feed ingredients such as corn namely noni (Morinda citrifolia L.) leaf which has a high enough metabolic energy content. This study aims to analyze the economics of the application Morinda citrifolia L. in broiler feed. This research was conducted in the broiler cage at Lampung State Polytechnic. In this study, there were four treatments that are T1 application Noni (Morinda citrifolia L.) leaf 0%, T2 application Noni (Morinda citrifolia L.) leaf 2%, T3 application Noni (Morinda citrifolia L.) leaf 4% and.T4 application Noni (Morinda citrifolia L.) leaf 6%. The results of the research on the application Noni (Morinda citrifolia L.) as much 2% in broiler feed is able to reduce production costs. Analyze of Break Even Point (BEP) product 15,16 kg, Break Even Point (BEP) price Rp 21.265,39, Income Over Feed Cost (IOFC) Rp 676.226,00, Revenue Cost Ratio (R/C) 1,74 and Benefit Cost Ratio (B/C) 0,74.
