Abstract

Industrial era 4.0 contains challenges and opportunities. But behind this condition, there are believers, including Christian Religious Education (PAK) teachers and pastors who are stuttering about technology. Instead of studying or catching up, many scholars hide behind their age, limited facilities, and other factors. But in fact, it is mostly caused by a reluctance to learn. In fact, in order to meet the needs of this era, superior humans are needed. These advantages include skills or optimal conditions in faith, knowledge, and devotion. The qualitative descriptive method is the approach used in this article. This article aims to describe the meaning of the superior generation in the industrial era 4.0 and how to achieve it. In the conclusion, it is explained that a superior person will develop faith, and knowledge and try to make a greater contribution to the Christian faith community and society at large. Being such a person in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 is increasingly easy to achieve through the use of technology and a new basic mindset, namely: a growth mindset. Reluctance to grow to become a superior person is unfair behavior. Individuals who stagnate will sink into laziness or a reluctance to learn and change. Personal excellence never stops the process, and it will have a significant impact on the world. AbstrakEra industri 4.0 memuat tantangan dan kesempatan. Namun, balik kondisi itu terdapat umat percaya, termasuk guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen (PAK) dan pendeta yang gagap terhadap teknologi. Alih-alih belajar atau mengejar ketertinggalan, banyak sarjana yang bersembunyi dibalik faktor umur, terbatasnya fasilitas dan faktor lainnya. Namun, hal itu lebih banyak disebabkan oleh keengganan untuk belajar. Padahal agar dapat memenuhi kebutuhan era ini, dibutuhkan manusia unggul. Keunggulan tersebut meliputi kecakapan atau kondisi optimal dalam iman, ilmu dan pengabdian. Metode deskriptif kualitatif merupakan pendekatan yang dipergunakan dalam artikel ini. Artikel ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan makna generasi unggul di era industri 4.0 dan bagaimana cara mencapainya. Dalam kesimpulan dipaparkan bahwa pribadi unggul akan mengembangkan iman, ilmu dan berusaha memberikan kontribusi yang lebih besar terhadap komunitas iman Kristen dan masyarakat luas. Menjadi pribadi yang demikian di era revolusi industri 4.0 semakin mudah tergapai melalui pemanfaatan teknologi dan sebuah dasar pola pikir baru yaitu: mindset tumbuh. Sikap enggan bertumbuh untuk menjadi pribadi yang unggul adalah tindakan tidak adil; sebaliknya, yang malas dan enggan belajar akan menjadi mandek atau mengalami kemandekan. Pribadi yang unggul tidak pernah berhenti berproses dan hal itu akan memberi dampak signifikan bagi dunia.

Abstract

The level of education of Sunday school teachers is one of the important factors for Sunday school teaching competence. As a Sunday school teacher who is professional in his field, he is expected to have good teaching competence as well. To determine the effect of education level on the teaching competence of Sunday school teachers at the Bethel Tabernacle Church (GBT) in Lampung Province, a study was conducted regarding this matter. The purpose of this study was to see whether there was an effect of teacher education level on their competence. If the level of education is low, the teaching competence is low, and vice versa. With a quantitative approach, data collection techniques through questionnaires with a Likert scale, and data processing using SPSS obtained a correlation number of 0.308. Based on the correlation coefficient table, this figure is included in the low category. That is, there is a low correlation between Education Level (X) and Teaching Competence (Y). Meanwhile, to see how much the X variable contributes to Y, the determinant coefficient test is carried out and gets a figure of 9.5%.
