Abstract

This research explores the challenges in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in schools, especially those related to students' social attitudes. One of the main issues faced is segregation between religious knowledge and general knowledge, where religious education tends to focus on aspects of the afterlife, while general knowledge is considered only for worldly matters. In addition, ethical crises in diverse societies, such as radicalism and intolerance, are often triggered by a narrow approach to religious education that does not open up space for understanding differences. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach involving interviews  and literature studies to analyze the impact of these attitudes on students' social interactions and tolerance. Research findings reveal that it is very important to design a more inclusive and comprehensive approach to Islamic education, which combines religious knowledge with general knowledge, while instilling the values of tolerance, mutual respect and understanding of differences. Education based on moderation and inclusivity can be a solution to create a young generation who is more open, broad-minded, and able to live side by side in society.

Abstract

Rapid curriculum changes have caused some teachers who have been teaching for a long time to be confused about learning the new curriculum, creating uncertainty in the implementation of learning, and creating an urgent need to identify effective ways to overcome adaptation challenges. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection through literature study, namely taking data from previous research results and related library sources. Through a qualitative approach, this research is expected to provide an in-depth understanding of how the frequency of curriculum changes affects educational consistency. This article shows that the more frequent curriculum changes occur, the greater the possibility of instability in the education system and triggers debate regarding the true benefits of these changes. This thesis is the same as Nisma Nengsi's research in her thesis entitled Analysis of Curriculum Changes and Their Influence on Student Learning Achievement at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Enrekang, and is different from Rahma Putri's thesis statement in a research journal entitled The Effect of Curriculum Change Policies on Learning in Schools.
