Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of risk taking on product advantages with innovative and proactive as a moderating variable on MSMEs in Tangerang. Total of 90-100 MSMEs were studied by taking samples. The sampling technique used was convenience sampling based on the ease and willingness of MSMEs when collecting data. The technique of collecting data was done by distributing questionnaires to respondents who were selected as sample members. The data obtained will be analyzed by SEM using Partial Least Square (PLS). The results showed that there was no effect of risk taking on product advantages with innovative and proactive as a moderating variable in MSMEs. However, there is an effect between being proactive on product advantages. Keywords: Risk Taking, Product Advantages, Innovative, Proactive, MSME

Abstract

In a business it is necessary to consider Business Model Innovation (BMI), which is the key to improving company performance. Business model innovation (BMI) can create a company's competitive advantage and improve its performance, but there are still many Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) that fail to get the expected results. This is because the application of business model innovation is not adequate. The activity partner is a creative product business by making various handicrafts made of acrylic and woolen yarn. . PKM activities aim to help partners increase knowledge about business model innovation strategies that need to be optimized and applied in increasing partner competitive advantage. The method offered in this activity is training/socialization through online through Zoom meetings. The material to be delivered includes: strategies that can help partners implement business model innovation, Challenges and Risks of Business Model Innovation. The results of the activity showed, the implementation of PKM activities went smoothly, partners could understand the importance of business model innovation strategies in increasing competitive advantage as evidenced from the evaluation results showing a 100% value that the material delivered to partners was understandable. Keywords: strategy, business model innovation,training, SME’s Abstrak Dalam Suatu bisnis perlu mempertimbangkan Business Model Innovation (BMI), yang merupakan kunci untuk meningkatkan kinerja perusahaan. Inovasi model bisnis (BMI) dapat menciptakan keunggulan kompetitif perusahaan dan meningkatkan kinerjanya, akan tetapi masih banyak Usaha Kecil dan Menengah (UKM) yang gagal untuk mendapatkan hasil yang diharapkan . hal ini dikarenakan dari penerapan inovasi model bisnis belum memadai. Mitra kegiatan merupakan usaha produk kreattif dengan membuat aneka kerajinan tangan yang terbuat dari bahan akrelik dan benang wol.. . Kegiatan PKM bertujuan membantu mitra meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang stategi inovasi model bisnis yang perlu dioptimalkan dan diterapkan dalam meningkatkan keunggulan bersaing mitra. Metode yang ditawarkan pada kegiatan ini adalah pelatihan/sosialisasi melalui secara daring melalui Zoom meeting. Materi yang akan disampaikam meliputi: strategi yang dapat membantu mitra menerapkan inovasi model bisnis, Tantangan dan Risiko Inovasi Model Bisnis. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan, pelaksanaan kegiatan PKM berjalan lancar, mitra dapat memahami pentingnya strategi inovasi model bisnis dalam meningkatkan keunggulan bersaing terbukti dari hasil evaluasi menujukkan nilai 100 % bahwa materi yang disampaikan ke mitra dapat dimengerti. .
