Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of social studies lesson content using the STEAM learning model by VI grade students at SD Negeri Majir in the 2021/2022 academic year. This type of research is classroom action research. The subjects in this study were VI grade students at SD Negeri Majir, totaling 24 students. The stages in this research include 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques in this study used documentation, questionnaires, observations, and tests. The data analysis technique used descriptive quantitative with percentages. The research results are the use of the STEAM model can improve the learning outcomes of social studies lesson content by VI grade students at SD Negeri Majir in the 2021/2022 academic year. It is indicated by the increasing number of students in the category of minimally high social studies learning content learning outcomes, from 70,83% in the pre-cycle, to 83,33% in the first cycle and 91,67% in the second cycle. The research ends in this cycle, because it has met the writer's expectations.

Abstract

This study aims to get an overview of the industry-based curriculum implementation which is carried out through a block system learning approach in Civics subjects at Ma'arif Salam Vocational School. This research was carried out using a qualitative method based on various findings, processes, and results related to the implementation of an industry-based curriculum through a block system learning approach in Civics Education subjects. Based on the analysis of the existing data, it was found that the curriculum used was the 2013 curriculum with a model centered on project-based learning (Project Based Learning), problem-based learning models (Problem Based Learning), and discovery learning models. In addition, it was also found that the learning process at SMK Ma'arif Salam has used a block system which is done by grouping effective study hours into one unit of time with reference to a dual base program in order to reflect the culture of work patterns from industry intensively. Of course, there are various challenges and obstacles in implementing an industry-based curriculum with block system learning in PPKn subjects at SMK Ma'arif Salam, such as the lack of focus on the development and implementation of PPKn learning compared to other lessons, school orientation which is more focused on student graduation than distribution. work in industry, as well as mental blocks from the school will change.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic that has hit the world has paralyzed the activities of almost all life sectors, including the education. Face-to-face teaching and learning activities have been abolished for quite a long time so that it becomes a tough challenge for teachers. One of the media that can be used as an alternative to online learning is podcasts. The aims of this study are: (1) to explain the social studies learning conditions during the pandemic for fifth grade students at SDN Klepu Gunungkidul; (2) to explain the social studies learning during the pandemic using podcasts for fifth grade students at SDN Klepu Gunungkidul; (3) to know the reasons why podcasts is become fun media of social studies learning for fifth grade students at SDN Klepu Patuk during the pandemic. This research uses a qualitative design with a case study approach. The data sources are 8 students of fifth grade at SDN Klepu Gunungkidul. The data collection techniques are observing communication via WhatsApp, interviews and documentation. The results of observations and interviews are then reduced to several important notes that provide a more specific picture. Furthermore, the results of the reduction are organized and arranged in the form of data presentations so that the relationship patterns are easier to understand and then drawn into conclusions. The results of this study are: (1) learning during the pandemic has made it difficult for teachers to convey material in a fun way, especially when learning is done online. (2) The teacher designs a fun online learning process during the covid-19 pandemic through podcasts so that students are very enthusiastic about participating in lessons (3) The use of podcast media as a learning media makes social studies learning more fun because students can view and listen to the information simultaneously through podcasts. It makes students' interest in learning online become increasing.

Abstract

Education is one of the media to implement the environmental care. The concept of Gunungkidul's ecotourism is a management activity in the tourism sector while ensuring environmental sustainability as the main requirement. This study aims to discuss: (1) the implementation of environmental awareness in social sciences learning; (2) the implementation of environmental awareness through Gua Pindul ecotourism as social sciences learning resource; (3) the supporting and inhibiting factors of Gua Pindul ecotourism as social sciences learning resource. This research uses qualitative method. Data are collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data is analyzed by data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions technique. The results of the study show that: (1) the implementation of environmental awareness in social sciences learning can be done by showing facts to students about the existence of environmental damage due to human activities. This occurrence environmental damage can be anticipated through a correct understanding of sustainable natural management as part of human duty to maintain God's creation. 2) The implementation of environmental awareness through Gua Pindul ecotourism as social sciences learning resource is done by providing opportunities for students to know the conditions around Gua Pindul ecotourism more closely; students are then motivated to be able showing the actions of concerning to environmental awareness through Gua Pindul ecotourism. Thus, the social sciences learning process will encourage the formation of a more meaningful understanding. 3) The supporting factors for Gua Pindul ecotourism as a source of social sciences learning include Gua Pindul Ecotourism is one of the most popular tourist destinations today, Gua Pindul ecotourism can be used as social sciences learning resource related to conservation, utilization, alignment with local communities by maintaining local culture while improving the welfare of the people of Gunungkidul. The inhibiting factors are the limited access to outing classes through Gua Pindul ecotourism for students, the lack of students' understanding about the impact of environmental damage, and the lack of local communities' readiness to face social changes as a result of tourism development in the Gua Pindul ecotourism area.

Abstract

Condongsari Village is a village located in Krajan Hamlet, Banyuurip District. The majority of Condongsari Village is an agricultural area. There is one tradition in Condongsari Village that is related to agrarian conditions and is still maintained today, namely the wiwitan tradition. Therefore, the objectives of this study are: (1) to explain the mutual cooperation attitude of the Condongsari Village Community in Purworejo; (2) to explain the mutual cooperation attitude of the Wiwitan Tradition in the Condongsari Village Community of Purworejo; (3) to know the reasons for the mutual cooperation attitude of the Wiwitan Tradition in the Condongsari Purworejo Village Community that still persists. This research includes qualitative research. Primary data sources came from informants, namely: farmers in the village of Condongsari, village elders, community leaders, village heads, young people. Secondary data sources are archives, photographs, videos and document studies that can support the focus of the study. The steps of data analysis include: data collection, data reduction, data tabulation, analysis of tabulated data using qualitative descriptive techniques, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are: (1) the attitude of mutual cooperation of the Condongsari Purworejo Village Community can be seen from various community activities, ranging from birth ceremonies, weddings, death ceremonies (measurements), village clean up, and other village traditional ceremonies. (2) The mutual cooperation attitude of the Wiwitan Tradition in the Condongsari Village Community in Purworejo can be seen from the preparation, the provision of materials (uborampe), to the Wiwitan tradition process. (3) The reason for the mutual cooperation attitude of the Wiwitan Tradition in the Condongsari Purworejo Village Community still persists because people still think that this tradition is a legacy from their ancestors and is a noble culture from generation to generation and has meaning as an expression of gratitude to God Almighty. The mutual cooperation attitude of the Wiwitan Tradition can be a source of knowledge to shape the cooperative character of students.
