Abstract

This research was motivated by the lack of students? ability in analyzing the intrinsic elements of short story. It is influenced by several things; as the examplemonotonous learning models application such as discourseand rarely discussion.This phenomenon that was motivated this research about the application of cooperative scriptlearning model to enhance the ability in analyzing the intrinsic elements of Balinese modern short story text. The aims of this study were (1) to determine the effectiveness of the application of cooperative script learning model to enhance the ability in analyzing the intrinsic elements of Balinese modern short story texton students class XI AP 2 Vocational High School PGRI 4 Denpasar academic year 2018/2019, (2) to assess the response ofstudents class XI AP 2 Vocational High School PGRI 4 Denpasar academic year 2018/2019 could enhance the ability in analyzing the intrinsic elements of Balinese modern short story text . The theory used in this study, are: (1) literature, (2) literature appreciation, (3) cooperative learningmodel, (4) cooperative learning script, (5) definition of short story, (6) intrinsic elements of short story. Data collection methods used are testing and observationmethods. The results showed that there is an increase in ability to analyze the intrinsic elements of the short story, it can be evidenced from the average value of students in the first cycle is 74.46 increased in the second cycle to 88.44. In addition there is an increase in the student's response following the first cycle that lesson of 70.12 and arise to 85.76 in the second cycle.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan utama menemukan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang terdapat dalam naskah drama pewayangan “Sumpah Ramaparasu.” Data dikumpulkan dengan metode pencatatan dokumen dan wawancara. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara hermeneutik dan diberi makna. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang terkandung dalam naskah drama “Sumpah Ramaparasu”adalah demokratis, kejujuran, kehati-hatian, disiplin diri, membantu dengan tulus, bekerjasama, keteguhan hati, rasa haru, dan toleransi. Nilai-nilai tersebut masih bersifat aktual dan kontekstual. Kata-kata Kunci: nilai pendidikan karakter, drama pewayangan, hermeneutik

Abstract

The novel The Falling Leaf Never Hates the Wind by Tere Liye tells the social life dynamics of the main character who undergoes social changes in his life. The formulation of the problem in this research is (1) how are the intrinsic elements in the novel Daun Yang Fall Never Hates the Wind by Tere Liye. (2) what is the Social Life Dynamics of the Main Character in Tere Liye's novel The Falling Leaf Never Hates the Wind. This study aims to (1) describe the intrinsic elements in Tere Liye's novel Daun That Falls Never Hates the Wind. (2) to find out the Social Life Dynamics of the Main Character in Tere Liye's novel The Falling Leaf Never Hates the Wind. This study uses the theory of sociology of literature, the theory of changes in social life, and novels. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The method used in obtaining data is the documentation or library method. The data collection techniques used are recording and carding techniques. The data in this study analyzed qualitatively by using descriptive analysis method. Data presented by informal method. The results of the data analysis show that the intrinsic elements in the novel Daun That Falls Never Hates the Wind by Tere Liye are: The theme contained is the social change in the social life of the main character. The main character is Tania. The setting is in Tania's cardboard house, the neighborhood of Tania's cardboard house, Danar's favorite bookstore, hospital, mother's grave, Danar's rented house, Changi Airport and the largest bookstore in Singapore. The setting of the atmosphere includes joy, fun, pleasure. The plot in this novel is a forward and backward plot. The dynamics of social life in this novel include changes in social life, namely Tania experiencing economic changes so that Tania can continue her schooling. Tania and her sister came out of poverty. Sincere learning and intelligence, Tania was able to graduate from a well-known university in Singapore. Readers are advised to appreciate the novel The Falling Leaf Never Hates the Wind as an afterthought in living social life in society.
