<![CDATA[Abstract: This study was designed based on the predetermined subject matter, namely (1) students' emotional intelligence, and (2) the ethics of student association. These two issues are made into research variables which are then parsed into indicator items (describing the research variables in the next section). The population in this study were all students of Class X of SMK Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli while the sample in this study was taken as much as 30% of the entire population, as many as 40 students. The results of the calculation of Product Moment correlation are known that the correlation coefficient (r11) is 5.518, seeing the results of the above calculations can be concluded (correlation) between the variables of emotional intelligence with the relationship ethics variable has a high relationship. And seen from r count for N = 40 with a significant level of 0.05%, the value of criticism is 1.684, it can be concluded that there is a relationship which means this can be seen from t arithmetic (5.518)> t table (1.684). Keywords: Emotional Intelligence, Social Ethics Abstrak: Penelitian ini dirancang berdasarkan pokok masalah yang telah ditentukan sebelumnya yaitu 1) kecerdasan emosional siswa, dan 2) etika pergaulan siswa. Kedua pokok masalah ini dibuat menjadi variabel penelitian yang selanjutnya diurai menjadi butir-butir indikator (jabaran variabel penelitian ada pada bagian berikutnya). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa Kelas X SMK Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli sedangkan sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil sebanyak 30% dari seluruh populasi yaitu sebanyak 40 orang siswa. Hasil perhitungan korelasi Product Moment diketahui bahwa koefisien korelasi (r11) adalah sebesar 5,518, melihat hasil perhitungan di atas dapat disimpulkan (korelasi) antara variabel kecerdasan emosional dengan variabel etika pergaulan mempunyai hubungan yang tinggi. Dan dilihat dari r hitung untuk N =40 dengan taraf signifikan 0,05% maka diperoleh nilai kritik 1,684, hal tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan yang berarti hal ini dapat dilihat dari t hitung (5,518) > t tabel (1,684).
