Abstract

The main objective of catechism is to motivate the members (of the Church) to fully comprehend their faith and bring their spiritual experiences into reality, both in their religious and social community. The role of the catechism is very important in developing the Catholics in the future. However, the policies of the pastoral council do not put the catechism into the priority. Besides, the motivation of the members in this field is also getting lower. This phenomenon will directly impact the quality of the members' comprehension of their faith during the next decades. There are many ways to activate the catechism. Catechetical music is one means to make the catechism interesting for the members. This article discusses some ideas about the use of music in catechism.

Abstract

Internet adalah salah satu media massa yang telah merambah di berbagai belahan dunia. Dengan media ini, manusia dapat berkomunikasi dengan lebih cepat tanpa memperhatikan jarak yang jauh. Media komunikasi ini telah banyak digunakan beberapa institusi demi kelancaran pelaksanaan tugas. Institusi Gereja perlahan juga telah memanfaatkan media komunikasi ini untuk kelancaran tugas misionernya. Artikel ini memberi sumbangan gagasan terkait bagaimana memanfaatkan media internet dalam karya pastoral Gereja, khususnya di paroki.

Abstract

Development of science and technology today has broughta great influence on human life. Such development has made people to be selfish or individualism. Man forgets that he is a social creature who can not live alone without the others. Many people no longer care for others creates the harmony among human beings no longer exist. It also affects the life of faith and the faithful involvement in social life. Thus, the Church believes that Ecclesial Communities could help many people to empower their of faith, love, and service as the members Basic Ecclesial Communities. Based on this backgmund, researcher want to explore the understanding of the faith people about the role Basic Ecclesial Community in empowering Christian faithful. Research carried out at Mater Dei Parish particularly in the St. Sebastiano. In this study, researchers applied interviews method to collect data. Interviews were conducted with Catholics to obtain depth information about the study. Data related to the understanding of respondents on the Basic Ecclesial Communities showed that (86%) of respondents interpreted the Basic Ecclesial Communities as a smal number of people. While related to the characteristic of Basic Ecclesial Communities, (67%) of respondents said that the members of this community often gathered together to share their spiritual and social experiences. Then where respondents were asked about the benefits of existing Ecclesial Communities (53%) of respondents said that the benefits are experiance ing mutual help, support, and strengthening one another.

Abstract

Salah satu masalah yang menonjol berkaitan dengan penerimaan Sakramen Tobat di kalangan remaja adalah kurangnya antusiasme untuk menerima Sakramen Tobat. Indikasinya ialah remaja jarang mengaku dosa, yang sebenarnya menunjukkan bahwa remaja kurang menghargai Sakramen Tobat. Ada tiga alasan yang menyebabkan remaja kurang menghargai Sakramen Tobat, yaitu: a) remaja tidak mengerti konsep dosa, b) hilangnya kesadaran sebagai orang berdosa, dan c) tidak adanya penyembuhan pasca pengakuan dosa. Untuk itu perlu dilakukan identifikasi terhadap perilaku remaja dalam konteks kebudayaan modern yang mempengaruhi cara pandang remaja tentang dosa; merekontruksi kembali liturgi tobat agar sesuai dengan kebutuhan remaja saat ini; dan menemukan format pelayanan liturgi tobat yang sesuai dengan cita-rasa kaum remaja zaman ini. Dengan demikian kita berharap remaja semakin tertarik untuk menerima Sakramen Tobat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mendapat gambaran umum tentang minat orang muda Katolik terhadap pendalaman Kitab Suci dan mutu pengetahuannyaakan Kitab Suci. Berdasarkan "jajak pendapat" melalui angket kepada 104 Orang Muda Katolik di Madiun ditemukan gambaran bahwa dari aspek minat, hampir semua responden menyatak:an berminat memperdalam Kitab Suci (96 atau 92.3%). 92 atau 88,5% responden berminat mendalami Kitab Suci dalam Kelompok. Namun, dari tingkat pengetahuan responden akan Kitab Suci berada pada level memprihatinkan. Untuk itu perlu adanya upaya-upaya Pastoral Kerasulan Kitab Suci yang lebih menarik bagi Orang Muda Katolik. Upaya-upaya yang dimaksud dapat disimak pada bagian saran tulisan ini.
