Abstract

This research is motivated by the promiscuity of teenagers which results in frequent truancy, dropping out of school, getting pregnant out of wedlock. This results in marriage at an early age, even though physically and psychologically they are not ready so that parental guidance is needed for couples who marry at an early age. The purpose of this study was to find out the guidance for married couples who had been married at an early age in the village of Keretak Central Bangka, as well as to find out the factors that influence the guidance for the couple. This research is descriptive qualitative. Data was collected using unstructured interview techniques, observation, and documentation. The data that has been collected is then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results showed that guidance for couples who married at an early age turned out to be one solution for the development and increase in activities in the family. Likewise, couples who marry at an early age are able to maintain harmonious domestic relations.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh keberadaan anak penyandang disabilitas intelektual yang memerlukan strategi khusus untuk melatih kemandirian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan penerapan strategi pengasuh dalam melatih kemandirian penyandang disabilitas. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara tidak terstruktur, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Data yang telah dikumpul lalu dianalisis dengan model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi yang digunakan untuk melatih kemandirian penyandang disabilitas intelektual. Ada empat jenis area dalam pembentukan kemandirian. Yakni, bina diri, bina keterampilan, dan bina lingkungan dilakukan dengan empat strategi, yakni strategi peragaan, strategi pembiasaan, strategi pemberian latihan dan strategi penguatan. Interaksi yang terjadi secara langsung oleh pengasuh dalam setiap aktivitas sehari-hari seperti membersihkan tempat tidur, mandi, mencuci pakaian, makan, membersihkan tempat makan, melipat baju, dan berbusana. Serta keterampilan yang lain seperti membantik, melukis, bernyanyi, membuat gelang tangan, tote bag, dan bercocok tanam. Hal tersebut dilakukan sesuai dengan potensi, kemampuan, bakat dan minat yang dimiliki masing-masing penyandang disabilitas intelektual. Agar mereka mampu mandiri untuk menolong dirinya sendiri serta berkarya sesuai dengan potensi yang dimiliki. Kata kunci: Strategi, penyandang disabilitas intelektual, kemandirian. Abstract This research is motivated by the existence of children with intellectual disabilities who need special strategies to practice independence. This study aims to describe the implementation of the caregiver strategy in training the independence of persons with disabilities. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The data was collected using unstructured interview techniques, observation, and documentation. The data that has been collected is then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results showed that the strategy used to train the independence of people with intellectual disabilities. There are four types of areas in the formation of independence. Namely, self-development, skills development, and environmental development are carried out with four strategies, namely demonstration strategies, habituation strategies, training strategies and strengthening strategies. Interactions that occur directly by caregivers in daily activities such as cleaning the bed, bathing, washing clothes, eating, cleaning the dining area, folding clothes, and dressing. As well as other skills such as batik, painting, singing, making bracelets, tote bags, and farming. This is done in accordance with the potential, abilities, talents and interests of each person with intellectual disability. So that they are able to be independent to help themselves and work according to their potential. Keywords: Strategy, people with intellectual disabilities, independence.
